  1. I know what you are going though. So hard to tell especially because I had a clownfish with a severe learning disorder especially in QT. I think he was looking at himself in the reflection on the bottom of the tank and doing the mating dance telling his reflection that it could go ahead and turn to a female. I thought he was rubbing his gills on the bottom but was really just bored looking at reflection. Couldnt hurt do do another round but also make sure you keep up on the water changes. And monitor ammonia closely it can sneak up on you. Could also be the problem.
  2. Oopsies that's what I meant. I'm sure regular IO is just fine but I stick with RC because It gives me a warm feeling in my belly knowing that there is extra. Especially the trace elements
  3. IO just has more of trace elements and cal alk mag. So as long as you do regular water changes and check cal, alk and mag it should work great for you.
  4. Yea mine reads well under 0. Yours too? I flushed the refractometer surfaces with copious amounts of water and wiped clean before all tests. Kind of concerning. Maybe a temperature difference?
  5. I have 2 calibration fluids. They are both ever so slightly of from each other. You kept it sealed right? No evaporation. I'll check with fresh out of the *****-it RO water later and will report back.
  6. PM neto he could probably get you encrusted frags of all of it at good price.
  7. Just make sure you buy encrusting frags or you will have issues
  8. They are all hardy, I have pink green, birds of paradise, and rainbow (more of a brown/purple polyp with hint of rainbow colors) also purple and pink stylo is hardy along with green psammocora. I know these are hardy because they all survived my temperature issue and alkalinity fluctuation accidents where as some others has STN or death
  9. I fragging want that black lager! You are going to look like a fragging bad butt with those sunglasses on, sporting the sticker, with forceps in one hand and clippers in the other.
  10. You are so lucky to own that sticker! And the Miguel forceps are bad to the bone! I would stare at em all night until I got to use em!
  11. I'll have to wear that sticker on my shirt at work
  12. That's great news! I always worried just one microscopic carbon dust would get through a non microscopic filtering sock. I guess it catches enough of it to be safe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have always wanted to run carbon but after reading the study articles on HLLE I couldnt get myself to do it. I think no matter what you do you will eventually get some fines get lose. Carbon is very soft and if it moves at all it will rub off into the water.
  14. Wow thats bangin hot blue
  15. Lymphocytis virus? if it looks like that then it should clear up on its own with less stress and better water quality. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/disease.html
  16. They do seem to take a while to get used to the LEDs. If they are moving around a lot they are unhappy for whatever the reason usually flow or lighting. I noticed mine staying away from strong lighting until they get acclimated to it months from introducing.then they start to love the strong light. Have you fed them at all when they are open?
  17. I had an anemone ship a day late about a month ago. DOA usps it was insured vendor replaced
  18. They come in on corals. If there was ever a coral you didn't dip, there ya go boom introduced. It's amazing how many organisms I watch die during a good dip. If you are a Big Dipper then eggs on coral introduced. Also CHEATo introduces stuff if it wasn't dipped.
  19. Stuff my tangs and cleanup crew don't eat grows wildly
  20. I'm worried that it's just a guaranteed piece of pooh. If marineland wants me to take a dump in a boxes and slap a guarantee on it I can. I have spare time. Tell marineland that I was interested in a 180 (because I am) and that after seeing this i will never buy one unlessthey have awesome customer service and they fix yours.
  21. Cool place. Nice setup.
  22. Everything look ok on the MRI machine?
  23. Yep. Mine enjoy each others company. They huddle under rocks together
  24. Wow glad no one and nothing is hurt. Sounds like you should do a full examination for copper
  25. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2012/3/chemistry check this out the algae sheets are pretty high in phosphate. Plus less food. Maybe fish sitter fed food slower so all was eaten also? More time for skimmer to work without being dumped? But usually skimmers are more efficient being cleaned. Maybe babysitter drank all the vodka
