  1. yeah mine will eat it if timing is just right but will not go after it.
  2. Yes but I'm guessing maybe a salinity monitor may be better as a failsafe? Just thinking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Just a thought and have not done it but would it be possible to have 2 ATO to help you do it? So during 1 hour of the day have a pump go for a few minutes, and during that time turn your fresh water ATO off and have a fresh salt water ATO on for 1 hour. Then have the fresh water back on after that. Not sure if it would work but it should work. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I had an amazing colony of an acro that got STN. Tried to frag before I lost it and even those frags died as well. From what I have read it can just happen and more often in wild caught frags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Really nice. Great job! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I would have to agree with Issac. You should have a large population prior to adding. I waited about 2 years and my pair are very fat and happy. Female spawns a few times a week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Tank is doing amazing! Am doing about 18 gallon water changes every 10-14 days. Dosing and testing each week. Frag tank is doing great as well. Pics to come soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. This is what my wife thinks of my tank lol. Sent it to me at work https://vimeo.com/103839521 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So just a little experiment on small refugium. I turned off my lights on my little 5 gallon fuge for 3 days to look at the impact. I changed nothing else as it is automated. After 3 days my Frag tank looked like crap. Algae increased a ton. Turned the light on the fuge back on and after 2 days the tank looked great again. Now I'm sure other things can go into play be does it help. 100% yes. . Here is my little fuge it is fed from my sump, and flows to the frag tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I had a Fromia that lasted just over a year before it disappeared. Can't say for sure what happened as it has been MIA
  20. To me a fuge is a good idea no matter the size. What really depends is the purpose. Nutrient export has to be larger. For pods I think is great even if smaller. A place where you can grow food to feed your tank where they don't have predators helps them thrive and accumulate to feed the tank.
  21. Go buy a new 55 gallon and call it a day. Not worth the repair
  22. Wow! Wish I could get a pair but willing to her my Mcoskers would not be happy
  23. Very cool fish for sure. I have 3 in my tank 2 male, and 1 female. I know it should be the other way but they have found a balance and get along.
