I would turn off all pumps, be ready to change out 20% water, scrape and syphon out what you can. Do 5-10% water changes every other day for a week or 2 and clean up crew.
I really don't know what I want. I do know I really like having a pair of fish that get along well (mated pair would be cool) and are unique. Not crazy expensive but really cool. If you have any idea's would be cool as you know my stock
Good advice. The other thing is I have lots of critters that get in and move the sand for me. My Blue spotted Jawfish has seen to it every grain of sand has been moved on top of my corals. :(. Lol

Not sure how good this advice is but I don't clean my sand. In time (and a good clean up crew) my sand stays white. Probably just still maturing.

Nope works great. Only thing I did different is the entire overflow on this 20g long goes through it so it has 2 intakes. With that flow I did not use a powerhead in their.

The other reason is think about how often you buy pods. Honestly I just did it once in the beginning and them you want need them. They have to make their money on the first shot.
