  4. Great advices! Thanks guys/gals
  5. Thanks, I always left my other mag cleaners in. However, I do noted that some of my old magnets (aquarium system brand, aka Instant ocean) have rust around it. Not sure if it leaks anything into the tank. I guessed I leave this one in to see how it goes. Thanks all.
  6. I just got me a great white cleaner. This thing is so strong that almost crushed my fingers. Anyway, do you leave it in or remove it after use? beside getting coralline algae on it, does it hurt if I left it in? Any input is appreciated. Thanks
  7. That's cool! keep us posted.

  10. Fyi, there is a safe fail dial timer inside the unit that let you set the time for the ato. If ato runs over the set time then it automatically shut off. Thus prevent from draining out your reservoir.
  11. Some kind of sponge?
  12. I agrees!I think the network paid for those livestock so they don't really care as long as they can get the show going! Sooo sad!
  13. Is your TDS calibrated? 135 for tab water seem low...I bet you TDS is off. from you #...seem like DI
  14. Welcome! Nice setup. I'd get rid of those artificial plants (just my taste!) also those plants are algae magnet.
  15. I have a similar issue with my red cap colony too. Was doing great for almost 2 years. In past few months it began to whited-out slowly. I originally thought it was nudis but didn't fine any. Can't figure out exactly what wrong, but currently have a temporary solution. H2O changes every 10-14 days. As soon as I did the water change, most of it colored back up. Try changing your water to see if it help.
  16. It's should not go that quick. Either your membrane is exhausted or faulty. When the last time you change your membrane?
  17. Very nice! I thought you have a blue one?
  18. Ahh! You jinked it:(. It's pouring down as of now.
  19. Looks like green algae. http://www.reefcleaners.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=60
  20. Canister filter?
  21. Hmm! Check back in a few weeks to see if those fish survived!
  22. As other mentioned! every setup is different from one another. Although, it only takes me less than 10 minutes (10% on the 125G) and 5 minutes (20% on the 29G). I personally preferred not to do as much water changes on my tanks. For the last 2+ years, I change my water every 1-2 months. But for some reason, in the last 3 months, my red plating monti DEMANDS water change every 2 weeks. Around the 10 days mark, it start to bleach and color back right up after water change. I have yet figure why, hopefully I can figure it out soon so I can get back to being lazy !
  23. IMO, every creatures have their own behavior. There are proof that fish/inverts listed as reef safe are actually "100%" reef safe. But are "generally" considered as reef safe. I have 4 chromis that has developed an appetite for pulsing xenia and a blue velvet that loves kenya tree ! Glad you found your culprit!
