  1. Sorry to hear about the copperband! I am trying to get my fish stock # back up to before the MV. I thought about getting a CBB but decided not to. Hopefully will get one in the future.
  2. Looking great! That's one monster skimmer. I am sensing larger tanks coming soon
  3. The stand build was awesome, but the curved hood is IMPRESSIVE! You must be a carpenter by trade.
  4. WOW! Great job on the stand.
  5. Observation tank I didn't know this guy can scale the tank wall hermit crab hitch a ride or trying to kill the snail.
  6. Picked up the B/W from a member almost 2 weeks ago. he's a bit skinny (will fatten him up). Well, he is going to be a she in a near future as I also picked up a baby snowflake a week prior . Observed the little guy for about 2 weeks and looking very well. So he went into the display with the B/W. They bonded within the same day.
  7. 1) I have Durso on mine tank. Not really noisy at all. If you set it correctly it should be pretty quiet. Is it factory Durso or DIY? In any case, try adjusting your return flow and it should reduce noise. 2) Not familiar with trigger sump. Is there a adjustable gate for each compartment? Also, since you don't have emergency drain, I'd not restrict the drain pipe. It should be fully open during operation. again, adjust the return pump flow to what you sump can handle. Could be loose impeller or impeller shaft is broken?
  8. new toy! Will hook one up tonight.
  9. Awesome job! they all looking really nice.
  10. gutter guard come in a roll. $2 @ HD or Lowes? cut to size and zip tie over the overflow box.
  11. Looking good and clean! since you don't have an "emergency" drain or 2 second drain. I would recommend a cover (gutter guard works well) over your overflow box to prevents snail, fish or anything from entering into the overflow and possibly clog your drain.
  12. See post #5 http://wamas.org/forums/topic/63983-sixline-wrasse-paring/?p=568543 I has yet find any info in captive breeding six-line. According this: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/marine/wrasses/SixLineWrasse.php sixline has yet bred in captivity. maybe this would make a great project for someone to try.
  13. Thanks! I'll look into it.
  14. I have not even have the oportunity to see their eggs yet. At best, is the above video of them doing the dancing and next day seen the female with flat stomach. I guess she spray her eggs out at night or at some point when I am not watching.
  15. 45 will flow better and smoother than 90 degree. Your tank has dual overflow right? 2 drains and 2 return? If that the case, I am sure many will recommend herbie or bean animal overflow.
  16. Wow! It's been over 2 years since I played match making
  17. Great re-start! Look like you got some nice equipment there! To save yourself multiple trips to lowes, make a list and buy extra. You can always return the unused parts. Also, when plumbing your tank try to avoid using 90 degree elbows when possible.
  18. I don't know. I don't think there are any tank breed six-line yet. These pair has been mating since 2014. I am guessing the female just shot the eggs out and all will be eaten by other fish. I have yet seen it. Maybe one day I am luck enough to witness it. http://wamas.org/forums/topic/63983-sixline-wrasse-paring/
  19. Well, My tanks has a bitty fishy activity . Looks like the six-line is about to spawn anytime soon. I have seen it pregnant many time but this time appears to be a spawn dance between the pair. Enjoy!

  21. Are you sure you have peppermints? They might be camelback shrimps. Sometimes mistake for peppermints since they are a bit similar to peppermints.
  22. Noting new. Everything doing well thus far.
  23. For low budget, anyone of those $90 black box led from ebay or amazon will do just fine. Unless you want bell and whistles, then you can step up to the programmable LEDs module such as Evergrow or similar models.
