  1. I don't use it because it's too expensive. I used lanthanum chloride instead when I need to remove phosphate.
  2. You can also look into amino acid as it contains nitrogen.
  3. It seems like sodium nitrate is better choice than potassium nitrate. You have to test for potassium if you're dosing potassium nitrate. Other method that will also work is chemiclean, this is reef safe and only target cyano bacteria.
  4. Interesting. What method do you recommend to increase nitrate without increasing phosphate??
  5. Diamond goby. The hardest worker of my tank.
  6. They are great. They response to their email very quick.
  7. Wow nice tanks! Great job.
  8. You need this http://www.lowes.com/pd_145275-33536-30339011_0__?productId=1135923&Ntt=gfi&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNtt%3Dgfi&facetInfo= Quick and easy and it works.
  9. Buy a phosban reactor and put rowa phos in there.
  10. I put mine inside the stand secure next to the sump.
  11. Hydra Quatics, BRS pellets with Mag 5 pump. Output connect directly to skimmer. Positive - excellent at removing Nitrates Negative - cyano if overdose If you have lots of live rocks and DSB you need to start out just a little pellets and measure Nitrates weekly. SPS will brown out if N & P are 0.
  12. PEV paintball open on Sat.
  13. I feed the complete blend and my skimmer stop producing bubbles because it contains selcon.
  14. I heard if you leave it in there long enough it will turns into pickle.
  15. It was nice talking to you today Tom, and thanks for a beautiful fish. Anyone looking for an almost brand new calcium reactor should get the GEO Reef 618 with (20lb Co2 tank, brand new ph probe never used) from Tom ASAP. There is no way you can get the whole setup for less than $300. Check out the picture below.
  16. This guy on RC http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2040499&page=24 uses natural sunlight for his reef tank. His tank looks so natural and bright, also I don't see any algae problem.
  17. Please send pics and video of the fish. Thanks Taiscici@yahoo.com
  18. Beautiful and unique set up. Nice job!
  19. Josh, I think the key for success here is water change. You can find the detail instruction in the above link. Although this look challenging I think this should be easy if you keep up with water change and keep things stable. I would reccomend no fish or maybe a really small one to start, also a good live rock that you can find for filtration. Good luck if you decide to give it a try.
  20. Your tank crashed might has nothing to do with your led, sounds like rapid increase of phosphate and nutrients from dry rock. I would remove the rocks, do large water change and run carbon and gfo. Good luck.
  21. Check out this one. http://wamas.org/forums/topic/60245-fs-royal-exclusiv-alpha-250-skimmer/?do=findComment&comment=525909
  22. Even better plumb your biopellet reactor to the skimmer and your house will smell like roses
  23. congrats Robert! Beautiful tank and color.
  24. You just need to add 1 bubble blaster 5000 and it will be perfect. I have one for sale in the for sale forum
