Saw his tank in person last year and it's really amazing. He has been in the hobby for a while so most of his sps colonies are really nice, oh and that Goni is really that red. -

They usually buried in the sand during the day and move around eating algae at night. If it plump up and stay on top of the sand then it's not doing so well. Make sure to keep an eye on it because they release nasty stuff when they died.

Thanks Jack. Most of the big colonies you see are wild colonies i recently purchased, and some colonies are from frags and small colonies from previous tank.

I got everything from reefgeek.com. I got ati ballast and Miro-4 reflector and really like it. I had them put together and ready to go in less than 1hr. They also have a full diy kit that includes ati ballast, miro reflector, waterproof caps and wires for a good price. Check them out.

I added 2 t5 to my LEDs last week and loving it. The t5s fill all the gaps and make the tank much brighter. I added 2 purple Fiji front and back and really loving the color now.

I don't know about long term but so far they are not too hard to keep. As far as lightning requirement I think they require strong full spectrum in order to keep the tips colored. I'm going to add a purple t5 bulb to my lightning system next week to see if I bring out the color some more.
