  1. I guess it depends on the brand. Mine came with a hookup for a car outlet or for hookup directly to a battery.
  2. Power out here in Springfield. Running on a 400 watt power inverter - have the circulation pump going, a spare 150 watt heater and a battery operated air pump. Hope this comes back soon! Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  3. Take a look at Deep Blue Professional Frag tanks. I have the 45 gallon one (48x18x12). Pretty cool stuff. http://www.deepblueprofessional.com/frag.html
  4. LOL Laura. More like 5 minutes on dial up I bet!
  5. LOL WCG I agree! I just give up if I don't get 4g haha
  6. It's just embarrasing being a redskins fan anymore!
  7. Got my old phone out last night and the wifi on it doesn't work :( looks like a common problem witg the amaze. Definately going t9 figure it out tho! Looking forward to playing with it Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  8. I assume everyone has this on their list... http://shop.theoatmeal.com/products/mantis-shrimp-squishable It's the must have this Christmas season!!
  9. Don't make it one big screen. On my 48x36 tank I have four screens. Each side has a smaller 8" or so screen that I can pull out easily to feed and do some minor maintenance through. My tank does have a middle cross brace. Works like a champ!
  10. I think just go ahead and include Paul, as long as you can include Steve's count too! In the past 10 years... 75 Gallon w/ Rubbermaid Sump 58 Gallon w/ Rubbermaid Sump 29 Gallon BioCube 93 Gallon w/ 20 gallon Frag Tank and 20 gallon sump 200 Gallon w/ 45 gallon frag tank and 75 gallon sump I think you're right on target!
  11. Very cool! I have two HTC Amaze phones sitting around at home that would be fun to turn into webcams for the tank!
  12. I'd like to see that beast in action too. I think I could use more skimming - I have a CS1 on my system now. 200 gallon tank, 45 gallon frag tank and a 75 gallon sump. I'd guess I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 gallons of water in the system. I think my biggest problem will be trying to shoe-horn it into my skimmer section - I might have made it a little too small.
  13. Thanks! I love the wrasses and will try to find a few more to put in there before I'm done. Right now the fish list in tank is... Lubbock Wrasse Mystery Wrasse Cleaner Wrasse Yellow-White/Purple Wrasse McCosker's Flasher Wrasse Radiant Wrasse Pair of Black Ice Clowns Coral Beaty Angel Yellow Watchman Gobie (Who isn't yellow anymore) Hippo Tang Blue Reef Chromis (4 EA) Two-Bar Rabbit Fish Six-Line Wrasse (In the Frag Tank) I think that's all of 'em!
  14. So going overboard here with pictures and video lately. But I'm pretty happy with how things have been going so that's why I'm sure Some recent additions to the tank... A Yellow-White Wrasse, a Radiant Wrasse, and a McCoker's Flasher Wrasse. I also got my kalk stirrer fixed that I broke. Thanks to Justin @ Avast - he was kind enough to send me a tube of acrylic solvent - go buy their stuff! Repaired Kalk Stirrer
  15. So I think my clownfish might have eggs. Either that or she's just fat! Anyway I just took this video (it's about a minute long) trying to show how big she is compared to the other clown in the tank. These two don't exactly pal around together. The female (or what I'm now assuming is the female since it looks like she might be gravid) always stays near that toadstool. The male, always around the hammer coral. Also, I noticed today that the male was doing that rapid shaking/vibrating thing. Anyway, here's the video. Would love to hear any thoughts on if this does indeed look like she's holding eggs. This second video is just a brief scan of my tank, also about a minute long.
  16. Looking good Kim. Don't let him know that a reef tank is never "done." AHAH
  17. Nice job on the 'scape. I think I dislike placing my rocks more than anything. It's so difficult for me to put in the tank what I envision in my head!
  18. I love getting wild frags. It's almost like gambling because you just don't know what's really going to show up months down the road, what colors will develop as the coral settles in, in a new system. I also agree with you on bugs from supposedly clean systems. The same could be said for hardware like powerheads that go from one system to another - I think it's critical to watch out for creepy crawlies there too. Some nice looking BIG corals in there Paul!
  19. I dont think there's much chance of anyone having much experience with it yet! It looks to be much stronger than the standard aqualifter though. I'm currently using a 50ml top off dosing pump from BRS - I'd be tempted to give this one a try if the BRS ever fails on me. It'll either be this or the peristaltic pump that avast has.
