i used to buy the buckets of RC back when I was in FL (I am a box gal now)...the moisture got in and I had a solid block o salt. Scraping it seemed the cost effective way to salvage but testing of the water after it was made showed me that it was better to dump it then continue to use it. i don't get it but it does affect it for some reason. But in your case with jsut a few rocks I wouldn't dump...keep using and take them out if possible

i use one apex, 2 tanks. not plumbed together...its easy to keep it all in one place and when I am travelling to be able to just check both tanks with one fast scroll down the app is priceless.

for my old eyes the best light for me is the natural light...so I take it to the window whenever possible

I actually do want to set it up...I don't know why I have such a weird mental block....in fact not only is it still BNIB but I haven't even brought it down to the basement where the tanks are...it is still in the garage where it was delivered in November....lol... I think my issue is that it is an in sump skimmer and I have always used external....so trying to figure out depth etc is what is stopping me from just doing it....

I lived in CT for a few years and I will tell you that you will LOVE wamas....we are a very very active club and have an outstanding membership....when you get here let us know if you need any help setting up and settling in. The best thing you will do in your move is to join our club. It is $20 for an individual membership and it will gain you access to not only all our meetings (with fabulous speakers and raffles and vendors etc) but also will enable you to participate in all of our members only areas (this is where the good stuff is....live stock, equipment ( fs/wtb), vendor discounts etc. It will pay for itself immediately. This is a tight group that is there to help 24/7 (literally...these people don't seem to ever sleep!) and there is an amazingly large percentage of our membership right in the area you are moving. grass is always greener.....my coralline is so bad that for a while earlier this year I considered throwing in the towel on my tank....I have insane growth and got so overwhelmed with scraping the glass that it stole from my enjoyment in the tank.... if it wasn't for the magnetic razor I would have lost my mind. so careful of what you ask for LOL.....somewhere in between you and I is the perfect purple tank....
