  1. that is absolutely true...you need to keep either moved around by inhabitants or if you are pretty shallow a quick stir around every so often.... but aesthetically its so pleasing to the eye....
  2. RR is not where you want to start.. trust me. Start at birdsnest and montis....virtually impossible to kill but should grow fast and if you lose them they were either free or crazy cheap....
  3. lol love that...except knowing Homer as I do, I don't believe this is laziness on his part but a protecting of his precious algae...he doesn't want the snail to eat essentially. If he had his way your tank would be all his ....lol
  4. you are going to be amazed by your tank once you have it stabilized by dosing etc. What you think is a pretty darn good tank is going to be gorgeous and mind blowing in a couple of months....I am excited to see the difference...its a great time to snap pics of all the corals etc to compare
  5. Oh I'm not allowed tiny clams anymore...I had one from the last mtg and it only lasted 2 days before something in my tank ate it...too small but crazy adorable
  6. Lol..are you having one rock for each type of animal ? I have clam envy..those are fantastic where did you grab them from?
  7. I've always done 2dkh per day and been ok...but just my experience
  8. midas blenny....its like a little puppy dog and follows me from one end to the other and always seems to be smiling at me....
  9. i used to use the fine sand but I like flow too much so when I moved and reset the tank up again I used the larger grain live sand. It blew around for a little bit but then when the bacteria came around it settled down and I am much happier with it. I have 4 huge tunzes in that 180 and not sand storms
  10. EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and zombie snails lol... its too early for me to remember the real name...
  11. i voted for sand...I love the way tanks look so natural with it in there...plus I like inhabitants that need it...
  12. Well I am one of them...I lived in florida during the worst hurricane season ever in history.....so now you know someone that didn't lose anything
  13. Think about it this way....people have lost power that long and not lost anything in the tank So what's a little extra fish poop lol Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  14. Personally i wouldn't worry about it...just do a big water change as soon as you go home Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  15. I think i have the same suspicions....

  23. that depends on your definition of "happiness"...his wife said no and he stated money is tight. I would rather see him save up for it as he can and when as a family they decide it is a good time to do it.
  24. LOL don't forget the title Isaac.....we all enjoy creativity when speaking to our spouses about the hobby and tank contents...but the "help me lie" thing makes me want to cringe...
  25. looks like your hammer is stinging your acan....might want to move it over a bit before it kills it...
