  1. I scored with the fish again! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon - company, fish and food were all great.
  2. Is anybody bringing anything interesting for the yard sale?
  3. I'm going to dig through the attic for yard sale items - I've GOT to get rid of some of the stuff I've accumulated. Looking forward to some hints about the stock that's coming in!
  4. I scored some amazing fish at last year's social - looking forward to it!
  5. Love the rock work (reminds me of the cookie monster)! How's the flow, and what kind of light do you have? Recommend keeping it to just a couple of small fish (I've had a lot of luck with little gobies) and feed sparingly.
  6. Hold the date. Social at Dr. Mac's Pacific East Aquaculture from 11:00am until they close at 5:00pm. More details forthcoming!
  7. I had exactly the same thing happen the other day! Mine is pretty large (I'd say around 1"), but like yours also appears to be alone in the tank. I was a little worried since it's in the 6 gallon and it spawned for several minutes, but no issues that I can see.
  8. I've only seen them from a dock - some day I'll get a chance to be in the water with them. Very cool!
  9. I want a maintenance schedule that includes "every ten years......"
  10. +1 I had a pre-order and was determined to stick to just that, but Dr Mac turned his evil mojo on me and somehow (through no fault of my own, of course) I ended up going home with 3 extra fish, 3 bags of inverts, a sponge and a frag. Great deals!
  11. I love this club…... Best of luck with the leak, James - that sucks.
  12. You're lucky it jumped back out! I ended up flushing mine down into the sump and now can't catch it without taking everything out of the sump, so have a beautiful little fish living where I never get to see it.
  13. I have a blenny (sold to me as a sailfin?) that I bought as a teeny little thing and put into my 24g. It disappeared soon thereafter, then reappeared months later. It's now been at least a year or two, it's probably 2.5' long and only appears at night. If it sees me it's back into the rock work, but from what I've seen it appears to be fat and happy. I actually love that my reef has become a thriving little community of its own - it's not just "my" display. Paul, you don't want to catch a supermodel eating. From what I've heard it's NOT pretty…...
  14. That's great news! Maybe spooked and was hiding in your rock work? I thought mine was gone - turned out it was living in the overflow.
  15. Most of mine won't win any beauty contests, but if anybody wants to see what can be done by a non-plumber/non-engineer with small tanks they are welcome to come by. Each of mine has a difference focus - kind of fun (reef, mantis, seahorse, cold water, teenie tiny, etc).
  16. LOL - the ONLY dumb question! It was great meeting you both yesterday, and welcome back!
  17. Ugh! Adds an entire new meaning to "bed bug".
  18. Nice! Wonder if I can sneak out of work early tomorrow?
  19. It's about time you get a tank up and running again! What sort of anemones are you going to add?
  20. He's on a roll! (And who is Katie Perry? ) We need new tank shots…..
