Congratulations to Alan Munter (Alan M) on his election as WAMAS President, Scott Friedman (scott711) on his re-election as WAMAS Treasurer and Martin Olcott (molcott) on his election as WAMAS Membership Director!
Also a huge thank you to Tom Land (Origami) on his (semi) retirement to WAMAS President Emeritus and Isaac Bell (YHSublime) who retired as WAMAS Membership Director. Thank you both for everything you have done to support the club over all of these years!
FishnReef.com has donated one of their 15 coral mixed frag packs. The frag pack includes frags of different aquaculture SPS, LPS, and soft corals, excluding chalices. Thank you Nadir!
Here's an example of the corals you could find in the pack!
I was lucky enough to win one of the bags of substrate that you donated for today's WAMAS meeting raffle. Thank you so much for the donation and for your support!
I have a thick mat of algae growing in one of my nanos that I need to trim. Was thinking I'd bring the extra in for the free table at the meeting tomorrow, but first hoped that I can get help identifying it. I don't think it's chaeto gone wild. It's been mostly growing across the surface where the light is best. Thoughts?

Fishnreef.com is donating frags from these gorgeous mother colonies!
SBC Brick Red Chalice (frag value $99.99) Micromussa Green with Blue Center (frag value $59.99) Hollywood Stunner (frag value $21.99) Toxic Green Trumpet (frag value $39.99) Duncan/Whisker Coral (frag value $29.99) Tyree Meteor Shower Cyphastrea (frag value $39.99)
Thanks for the reply, Emma (and the joke)! Interesting experiment! How are you measuring stress on the corals? That's great that the results should help the replanting process become more efficient. Since our club members also move frags around a lot I think your results can also be useful for the hobby.
