  1. I have only had the golden yellow type of coral banded shrimp and it stayed relatively on the smaller side and did not bother my fish. I have heard of the other regular red and white ones going after fish.
  2. I have seen this vendor referenced too many times in a negative light on other forums. The joke is clear in their name: aquaCON. Many instances of people ordering something only to receive something totally different.
  3. The thought crossed my mind as well...
  4. Did you get it at Roozens? I saw that one yesterday, never seen one with that much blue color throughout!
  5. I have seen another person moorish idol pick at nori as well. My copperband loves fresh clam but also squid and mysis...very limited diet in addition to whatever it finds in my tank.
  6. I do not know what is in store for the future...BUT I WANT TO FIND OUT!!!!!! I still remember those bright pink/red yumas that you had in your store one day, but they were from a client's tank and he did not want to share....
  7. It is still the same since the pump outlet is slightly offset from the center of the skimmer base yet no part of the pump extends out past the perimeter of the base. At least what I can tell from a brief comparing of the two configurations.
  8. If that is the case, then I would believe that the meeting would be cancelled as well.
  9. I use Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure, basically an iodine dip, but those other ones work for sure.
  10. Have you ever tried melanaurus or haliocheres wrasses?
  11. What about phosphate removal media? I have achieved drastic results when changing out my phosphate removal media and kalk in my top off at the same time.
  12. Not sure if I will be tied up with out of town family or not, but I might be free to help out.
  13. Reef Chief is in Suffolk, not that far from Williamsburg.
  14. The other I think is called Fish safari. They have this local chain of pet stores called Care-A-Lot pet store also. I have been a few times and they have some interesting fish. One is off of Oyster Point Rd. in Newport News and the other is on Diamond Springs Rd. in VA. Beach. As others have already posted, Reef Chief in Suffolk has the nicer corals but check his hours before you go, since it is a bit farther out there.
  15. I have ordered from them 3 times for flame wrasses and a rhomboid wrasse and I have been very completely satisfied with each order.
  16. IMO, I think their appearance is the result in the drastic cut back on the feeding routine.
  17. Congratulations man! You got yourself a future water changer helper and your own automatic feeder!!!
  18. Fillet that lionfish, dip in batter, cut in squares, throw some toothpicks in there and serve him up at the next meeting!
  19. Hey thanks for working with me on this. Sorry for the inconvenience, Darren.
  20. Looking good, but I believe it is missing one important piece of equipment....a HUGE AQUARIUM!!!!
  21. I have seen them at both Blue Ribbon Koi and Aquarium One before.
