  1. Been shopping there for almost 30 years. Not a warm and fuzzy place. There clearly is no interest in selling you something you don't need or can't keep.
  2. I'm pretty sure 55's are tempered which is why they sell so cheap. Try looking at it in sunlight with quality polarized sunglasses. What size display tank is this sump for? 600gph will gravity flow through a 1" hole and stuff like snails can get caught in it easier. I'd go at least 1.5" and depending on the size display tank, use an internal pump.
  3. Does not matter who you are or who you have spoken to. THIS MEANS and APPLIES TO YOU. If you have told an officer you are coming to sell, assume they have NOT told me. I need to hear from you to put you on the list and plan space for you. NOT ON THE LIST MEANS YOU HAVE NO SPACE. Please PM me ASAP so I plan to have space for you and send you needed specifics. We need to plan space for you since it is very limited
  4. it's *@s and giggles, until someone giggles and *@s. then, and only then, it become grins and chuckles
  5. We've never had a FFE (frag fest extravaganza) in a school hallway. We had a meeting where I manually divided an anemone for someone and it turned into a demonstration of sorts. FFE is a very causal, yet informative, meeting held once a year as our summer meeting. We have a member hot dog chef on site with plenty of food, fun, info and of course, FRAGS. If you're an existing paid member in good standing or a newly minted member that day, FFE is sure not to disappoint. Not everyone gets a frag of everything we demo frag, but anyone interested generally takes plenty of different frags home. Take what you can keep alive and remember, the person in front of you, behind you and on either side of you. As always, it is your responsibility to dip and QT your corals and/or fish using your preferred method, REGARDLESS of where you got it from.
  6. Your wife's a good judge of character. Mine too and she's been enjoying my craziness for 25 years. Like Davids, she'd also help, if not preform it.
  7. The aquatic plants are likely going to be pond plants.
  8. Light for me is a big factor in bubble. If it's an e.quadricolor, it's a bta
  9. Great job Chad, nice to have coffee reading with you this morning.
  10. If you know, do reefer a favor and send as clickable link. I suck on my new phone yet.
  11. Of that place that specialises in sellng fish and inverts native to the caribbean areas?
  12. I would have suggested it be done this way too as opposed to putting the wood on top of the stand. love the plant stand too. btw, those plants are scale magnets along the stems and mealy bug on the foliage. be watchful since you have no natural predators
  13. I'd look closely at the padding underneath the carpet. I'd be inclined to pull it and replace it since you will never get all the salt out of it. Moisture will attract to it and keep having problems, It's a cheap solution to a problem that will keep on giving. btdt
  14. how about using an ice dispenser unit from a refridge and set it on a timer to drop a cube or two in the sump kind of near the return pump? Someone can expand on that, I'm just a florist.
  15. Steve, I use uv and have for 20 plus years. I do clean the Quartz sleeve regular, every 6 months, and replace the bulb as directed, T5 yearly to 14 months. You will have crystal clear water and will notice a difference within 24 hours. Personally, I would not be without it.
  16. they will grow to each other and one will win and grow over the other.
  17. tHERE'S NO REASON YOU CAN'T PLUMB INSIDE YOUR SUMP, LIKE YOU DO outside your sump. By this I mean running some pipe inside the sump to move the pick up for the return pump to a less bubble area.
