ReefAddict May 10, 2016 May 10, 2016 Looking for suggestions before I pull the trigger on the BRS two part, what is everyone else using? Thanks
epleeds May 10, 2016 May 10, 2016 ESV bionic. Little more expensive but all you need to add is distilled water. I don't like having all the bags of chemicals in my house with the little kids
Origami May 10, 2016 May 10, 2016 I like BRS for purity and value of their calcium chloride, but have no issues with kids, pets, etc. getting into the chemicals. Arm and Hammer baking soda for alkalinity. I don't mind measuring, either. The chemicals are not particularly toxic but enough of anything can cause problems.
s2nhle May 10, 2016 May 10, 2016 I have been using ESV bionic. the only thing I don't like is the alk part, It takes a long time to mix the solid part in to rodi water. I have to warm the bottle in the microwave.
monkiboy May 11, 2016 May 11, 2016 i like ESV as well, BRS is simple enough. either depending on how much effort you want to put in, work just fine.
DaveS May 12, 2016 May 12, 2016 Prestone Driveway heat and eithr Arm & Hammer Baking soda or pH Up...
tom39 May 13, 2016 May 13, 2016 +1 for BRS I like that they have done the math for you and there is no guess work when it comes to mixing. I also like the quality and purity of their stuff. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Sad Panda June 10, 2016 June 10, 2016 I bought the BRS two part system that comes with their two dosing pumps. I feel this was "one" of the best purchases I made. Just make sure you follow the directions when setting the pumps up. I found one of my pumps dosed a bit more than stated so I had to adjust the run time of the pump, which was simple through my Apex. Oh and get a couple extra 1 gallon jugs, either buy them or use something like empty vinegar jugs so you can have one set that the tank is taking from and the other jugs mixed and can be settling.
