gmerek2 February 28, 2014 Share February 28, 2014 My fish eat their own poop and dart for it just as fast as if I were to put fresh food in. GROSS!!! They embarrass me in front of my guests!! Coral Hind February 28, 2014 Share February 28, 2014 My fish do it also and they are anything but starved as I feed my tank a lot. I have seen it happen in the wild while diving. Normally smaller fish eating larger fish's waste. I guess since their digestive system is not the best there is some nutrition still left in recycled waste.
