  1. That was an awesome article! Thank you so much for explaining everything!
  2. What kind of dip are you doing that is killing them? I have them in my tank and having no success killing the adults. Tried freshwater dips, coral RX, Bayers and a toothbrush. They just keep coming back (or not dying in the first place)
  3. It all rusts, buy cheap and keep replacing them.
  4. Hello! I am hoping that someone can help me with my pests =) I have montipora eating nudibranchs. They are tiny and white but definitely nudibranchs. I dip EVERY coral that goes into my tank with Bayers insecticide. I started noticing the nudibranchs all at one time one my encrusting, plating, and branching montiporas. I have tried fresh water dip, Coral RX, and Bayers insecticide. Nothing seems to be working yet. Any ideas? Was thinking of trying flatworm exit as a dip? Any thoughts? Thank you!!!
  5. Oh I love them! How adorable! Now I want to put all my slugs in a tank with seahorses!
  6. You know, I never though about using my doser to vodka dose! Huh, great idea!
  7. Hello! I love WAMAS because the people are amazing and the knowledge is accessible. I really appreciate the time in everyone answering my questions over the last year! I own a large scale coral propagation business (I wish!). I am currently selling frags to wholesalers in Tampa and Miami and I am wanting to expand and sell directly to fish stores. I have a main SPS tank that is 700 gallons. I am currently dosing two part, I have a skimmer, a 200 gallon sump/ refugium and that's all. I have been doubling my production of frags lately as I gear up to sell to fish stores. I have been thinking it would help to get... Calcium Reactor: I have never owned one, but they sound amazing and I can't believe I don't have one! Does anyone have any thoughts feedback? Pros or cons I should be aware of? Sounds like a very easy system (after it is calibrated) and a lot cheaper. Any brands to get or avoid? Bio-pellet reactor: Since I will be (hopefully) selling frags directly to fish stores I want the frag plugs to look perfect. I don't have much algae, but some times I will have a few strands of hair algae or coralline algae growing on the plugs. I would like to eliminate it completely. Pros or cons on the bio-pellets. Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated! Does anyone use Red Sea Part A & B? I have been reading about Amino acids being supplemented and this two part sounds amazing, but it is a huge financial commitment based on my tank sizes to just "give it a go". Anyone actually use it or something like it, like Fuel. Thank you!
  8. Hello everyone! I am located in Ocala Florida so I don't want anyone to think I am a competition to their business :D Anyway, I was hoping that I could get some insite into what people charge to set up and maintain tanks. I own a coral propagation business in Florida and we are wanting to branch out into commercial tank maintenance, but I am really not sure of what people charge to set up the tanks and do weekly maintenance. I am sure it depends on what size and kind if tank but a ball park would really help. I just set up a 125 gallon in my neighbors house as a practice run and although it went smoothly it was very time consuming. Any info would be great, if you want to pm me so you don't put your prices out there that would be great as well. Thank you for your time!
  9. That is absolutely amazing! I am in awe!
  10. That is amazing and really great info. The lettuce sea slugs that bred in my tank are doing great! I have about 30 of the original babies that are now fully grown! As much as I have watched them they seem to eat all kinds of algae with no particular favorite other that chaeto. Not sure why they bred or if they will breed again, but they are so amazing that I am always watching them. Will keep following along to see how I can better take care of my sea slugs
  11. Hey Coral Hind, what kind of corals would you suggest to grow?
