flowerseller August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Still plenty of power here in McLean. We're expecting the best possible scenario.
Chad August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Power is still on here too... I don't expect that I will lose it, though.
OldReefer August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Still Good in Alexandria but we are getting a lot of wind and flickering. I have 5 UPS, 2 battery airpumps and a 7KW generator. Bring it!
FearTheTerps August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Dont even have any rain anymore out here in Hagerstown now
Reefoholic August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Wind picking up in DC but no flickering or power outage yet.
collegeman August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 winds are strong here and lights are flickering. I guess mines will be out soon since the homes across the street are out. Wish me luck
Kingumar August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Power still here in howard county.. im glad. Hope it stays this way.
treesprite August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 I don't see anything unusually severe going on here. Did it just not get here fully yet or what?
zygote2k August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 A leaf fell off a tree across the street. Did someone say it was supposed to rain?
Coral Hind August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Yeah, nothing but some leaves down and a light rain. It was a calm night here.
Chad August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Should've knocked on wood, Chip? Did ok here, some trees down outside and some water damage on the ceiling that I have yet to investigate fully, but no loss of power here.
dbartco August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 my sunflowers blew over, kind of ticked off. At least the storm had us all doublecheck our backup plans in case something big did happen
killrblue August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 No electricity here since 2am. Battery back up is just about drained. A tree fell across the street and luckily missed a car by a foot. Just patiently waiting for power to come back.
extreme_tooth_decay August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 The power pole 2 feet from my property snapped. I have nothing, and won't for a long time. Where do people get those battery pumps? I need one...
encideought August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Our power didn't go out till 4 AM. I'm trying not to hate pepco...hopefully they finally give us a reason not to...
onux20 August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Loss power from about 2 am to 9 am. Everything is back up. I feel lucky!
extreme_tooth_decay August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 Here is the view of my driveway and my former power pole (supplying power, cable, phone, and internet...) I think I'm gonna be "down" for a while. Gotta try to find one of those battery pumps.
paul b August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 I live on Long Island and we just drove around and here is my block. We live in an area called the Oaks and this is why. I know the South Shore got flooded and many people have a lot of damage. About a third of the streets are blocked with down, still alive wires and trees. This is the sight al over my neighborhood. Thank God that of the dozen or so trees down around my block, none of them fell on a house.
OldReefer August 28, 2011 August 28, 2011 The power pole 2 feet from my property snapped. I have nothing, and won't for a long time. Where do people get those battery pumps? I need one... I am near you. I have a bunch of battery air pumps and UPS that you can have right now.
