davelin315 February 5, 2010 Share February 5, 2010 Seems like they always underestimate for here - they say it'll be 65, it's 70, they say it'll drizzle, it downpours, they say it'll snow 20-28", it'll snow 28"-36". So, my guess is 32" with wind gusts of up to 35 mph pushing it into drifts of over 4'.

flowerseller February 5, 2010 Author Share February 5, 2010 So far I very comfortable with my forecast. This snow is doing exactly what I had suspected it would do once it started. Since it started on the earlier side of when they predicted, it's moving faster than expected the temp has not dropped as fast as first expected if the wind starts coming from the west, as I expect, I just might nail it. Now, if I nail it, and I fully expect to be very close or dead on, I will drink several glasses of good scotch on the rocks.
mogurnda February 5, 2010 Share February 5, 2010 Can anyone say non-committal? I was thinking of bumping the high estimate up, just to be sure. Now, if I nail it, and I fully expect to be very close or dead on, I will drink several glasses of good scotch on the rocks. Same idea here. If I get it right, we're cracking a decent bottle of red and having a fire.

If I get it right, we're cracking a decent bottle of red and having a fire. I wish the basement is done, I miss having a fireplace. I had one in S. California growing up for pete's sake. Nothing like the ambiance of a fire, even if you don't need the heat! I imagine you'll drink several glasses of good scotch if you get it dead wrong too. lol I wish I could find my 30ft. tow strap. I know I could use it to help pull some people out. I think someone stole it from the back of my truck though :( its been there for a few years now. I think I used it 2x in N. Dakota in 5 years - and 10x here in one. People are a little more adept at driving in the stuff up there even when there is tons of snow.
