  1. I expect to be there and if I can make it I'll bring a large hammer coral to frag as a donation
  2. That is a really nice effort. Thanks for sharing
  3. Very nice. Thanks for sharing /George
  4. Kinda remind me of the story in Fenner's book about a Trigger growing up with some blue damsels. Then one day he threw in some food and the trigger got so excited that he bit a damsel in two - at which point they all fled including the trigger. The next day all the damsels were dead. Fish .... what ARE they thinking?
  5. I've noticed a few on some blue mushrooms, but they haven't moved to others as best I can tell - I've has worst pests
  6. As it is written....so shall it be done. Spring meeting/fraffest at Bob's
  7. I think some one recently found sand in Manassas Southern States. linky
  8. I like the look of your tank. Nice work.
  9. Some Caulerpa had gotten lose in my main tank and it has been a real struggle to keep in in check. I pulled out much of the rock and scrubbed it, but it has come back in many places. So I just added a one-spot Foxface (named Thumper) and he has cleared a large spot and has a pretty good gut right now. This makes me very happy and I wanted to share
  10. It's great when life thrives in our tanks
  11. Positive comments on a WAMAS thread? Regrettably not as common as they once were. Thanks for sharing Sean.
  12. Oh my god .... I fed my fish hundreds of brine shrimp yesterday...and they were ALIVE. Hermit crabs and brine shrimp have rights too. I somehow feel dirty now. Have you ever noticed that there are some really stupid people out there with too much time on their hands?
  13. I disagree. MS has a very nice, well lighted, clean and friendly store. They are one of two local stores that I would buy a fish from because they have a very good QT procedure. I find it hard to bash them on customer service.
  14. There were a couple of group buys with them a while back and the guy used to post a stock list, but nothing of late. This is a good time to ask a LFS when considering an online purchase. You should ask at least what they can do for you
  15. Good luck - remember to post your results so that other might learn
  16. Well water changes are the answer for a start, but you need to understand where the problem originated. 50% - 80% can be done so long as you match temp and salinity and ph good luck
  17. I pulled the rocks out of the tank then used a screwdriver and hammer. Instant frags.
  18. I don't think that a warranty matters much when buying a new tank especially when compared to livestock and the results of many gallons of water hitting the floor. I think the reputation of the builder is most important and then the materials used. Getting a tank replace/repaired under warranty is not even a small consideration. Good luck with your efforts.
  19. Very nice! Nothing beats the thrill of a new tank. Good luck
  20. Kudos to the organizers - that was an impressive effort. Also the generosity of the Vendors was extraordinary so a special thanks to all that participated. Thank you kind people.
