They only response via emails and not as prompt as I would like but their shipping was top notch. I ordered a trio of flame from them and the size and color were better than I expected. I am planning to order from them again without hesitation.

I love going to NYAquatic.com and drool over their rare finds but never pulled the trigger. For rare fish, I usually end up purchasing from LA or PIA based upon their reputation. Their reputation is warranted but sometimes they just dont have the fish/price ratio that NYAquatic does. Well, I decided to pull the trigger with NYAquatic with a small blueline angel and I'm glad I did. Packaging is top notch and as good or better than the famed LA' DD packaging. Michael corresponds promptly via email and will listen to your needs and concern. The blue line came in gorgeous and healthy. I will do business with Michael again (and did). If you are looking for the rare finds, give NYAquatic a chance.

Might be pricey but the Tunze 9002 skimmer is a beast for its small size.

You scored a 300G DD tank? I thought you were going to downsize?

I also wanted one for a jawfish only display tank but heard that they are cooler temp fish and will not fair well with tanks in the 78+ degrees.

I have one. I really like it. It doesn't come close to brightness as my MH on another tank but I love the color and the fact that I can dialed in the intensity. I didn't compare the PAR values though but the tank that I have the AI on is mostly LPS and my two magnifica anemones. They seem to like it a lot. 12" might be an overkill for your 20G but if you ever plan to upgrade the tank in the future, I would invest in the 12". You can always set the intensity at 50-70%. I would buy again. It is indeed pricey but I am very happy with it.

I think you would be happy with one 6105 and the controller. I also agree with you about Roger and Tunze. Top notch service. It is the sole reason why most of my gear is Tunze right now. My only complaint with the Vortech is not able to set the direction of the pump. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone with the 6055 instead of the MP10s. Quality products bring high prices though as you know. Cannot wait to see it all set up.
