  1. CAlling on manassas! Tank is dismantled and just need to get it in truck.
  2. Moving it to Dave Lins house in Herndon (2 ish) until they get the tank into the hospital. Even if you can only help at one location, please pm me your info and cell numbers!
  3. Actually the Tech Standards committee really works on how the standard is written and the safety aspects associated. There is no cool testing of new products. That is handled elsewhere.
  4. And, they will let just about anyone on the committee...\
  5. higher speeds, finer bubbles? Just making guesses...
  6. Usaa covers it like an appliance, so any damage incurred covered, but not livestock. I had to file a biggie a few years ago because of a slight malfunction (of the brain...)
  7. Edit: website fixed, at least I was about to order a cs1, just shipped a bit later!
  8. glad you got in. I was late in my Black friday shopping - no swabbies or cs1's.
  9. I believe fireworms have venom in those bristles that are painful. Reg bristles are just irritating, or at least have much less venom.
  10. WOAH, first I have seen that in a small tank!
  11. There might be a little customization that is done to tweak a few things, but in gerneral I think most will like the new site
  12. A ton of work to upgrade. Thank you all, you talked right over my head the entire process!
  13. without the need to mix saltwater is much easier to be successful at water changes.
  14. you are welcome to come over my office on michael faraday as well, we can fix it in the lab
  15. would only be the case if for some reason the line was clogged through the kalk reactor. I have never had that happen. If it did, I would just have a waterfall. Maybe out in a p'n cherub or something.
  16. Really, thankd Dave lin for telling me this. The MJ does not have enough head to get the water that high, and when the water drops with the pump off, the air will break the siphon.
  17. I have had too many of them fail over the years (john guest, silver dollar shaped white ones, top fin and others like that, even the expensive $17 Dernele (sp?) ones), so I went to putting a siphon break "T" in the line, running one leg above the tank, and the other feeding the stirrer. (granted I have the built in so I can hide behind the tank)
  18. this is only the compound not the adhesive correct?
  19. my bet - pull it out to put on qt tank when needed. It's what I do.
