  1. Busy busy busy!!! But the QT system is up and running!
  2. The new QT is more of a swap so I'm only increasing the volume by 20 gal or so. Swapping the 50 gal rubbermaid and a 30 gal frag tank for two lowboy
  3. My husband just finished up the stand. We need to get some plywood to support the bottom but the tanks seem to fit well. Eshopp overflow arrived today so we are hoping to drill and get the plumbing done this weekend!
  4. I doubt that, your stuff is always neat and clean.
  5. hey! such a coincidence!
  6. It's been a while since I updated. Things are chugging a long. Decided to redo the coral QT to a stackable system to gain a little bit more space in the shed! Cleaned up the small area and tank obtained!!! Looking to build something similar to another vendor local to us NextWaveCorals:
  7. hahahha you are a bad influence
  8. I'm just lazy about moving all my other tanks around to fit the new tank.
  9. Very nice! I'm still eyeing the EXT 200 ... just haven't pulled the trigger.
  10. Welcome to WAMAS! Tell us a bit about yourself and your system for the group! Also consider putting a Tank Build thread together https://wamas.org/forums/forum/77-dedicated-tank-build-forum/
  11. The large cockroach ones are amphipods?
  12. I'm in Pasadena, MD if you want to throw one in.
  13. I got my frag tank from Aquarium and Terrarium Builders and its great. I know they do sump also. https://www.facebook.com/AandTBuilder
  14. Those are not copepods. Hoping someone else can chime in for correct identification.
  15. Do you have a pic?
  16. I never had the maxi mini but I have rock flowers (1) with a bubble tip (1) in a basket and they haven't killed each other yet ....
  17. I started collecting anemone again and found this on r2r. Thought it was cool and helpful. Anyone agree or disagree with this? https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/anemone-compatibility-spreadsheet.254141/
  18. I know in the past the recommendation is 1 crew member per gallon but you can always start smaller and add more as needed. If you just need a small amount, a LFS might be better depending on their prices and selection. Online is good but then you have to consider shipping unless you get a bulk amount. I normally get them from reeftopia just because they ship next day and DOA is very minimal. I normally don't QT cleanup crew until about a year ago when I got hit with velvet from a batch. Now everything gets into the QT tank for 76 days before going into my main system.
  19. I normally don't get any reaction unless it's the nem tank. Our 40 gal only has nem (~20) and I would get a minor rash and sting everytime I put my arm inside.
  20. Rumint is regarding $$$$.
  21. That's a shame. It's finally close enough to drive to :(
  22. What is your salinity. I don't think you have answered that yet. How do you mix your salt? do you just add a certain amount of salt to water and not check salinity? Do you check the salinity after you mix the salt?
  23. I'm not sure what they are. I never had them. Sorry.
  24. oompa loompa
