  1. I know in the past the recommendation is 1 crew member per gallon but you can always start smaller and add more as needed. If you just need a small amount, a LFS might be better depending on their prices and selection. Online is good but then you have to consider shipping unless you get a bulk amount. I normally get them from reeftopia just because they ship next day and DOA is very minimal. I normally don't QT cleanup crew until about a year ago when I got hit with velvet from a batch. Now everything gets into the QT tank for 76 days before going into my main system.
  2. June 24-25, 2023 11 AM - 6 PM Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands in Secaucus, NJ
  3. I normally don't get any reaction unless it's the nem tank. Our 40 gal only has nem (~20) and I would get a minor rash and sting everytime I put my arm inside.
  4. That's a shame. It's finally close enough to drive to :(
  5. What is your salinity. I don't think you have answered that yet. How do you mix your salt? do you just add a certain amount of salt to water and not check salinity? Do you check the salinity after you mix the salt?
  6. I'm not sure what they are. I never had them. Sorry.
  7. @telegraham I think that Saltwateraquarium said they will continue to support the business. I'm not 100% sure if that mean they will continue to support the product and sell them or just provide parts. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/current-usa’s-future-is-bright-says-saltwateraquarium-com.965890/
  8. thank you! appreciate it. They look like another pest and I just want to assure whoever takes them from me don't think I am trying to pass them off. Since they are also been around WAMAS forum so so long, it would be nice to have a centralize place to list more information on them.
  9. Just looking for more information on these guys. I grab some from Leishman last year and they are going crazy in my system. The link to articles seem to not be working anymore. Do we have any additional information on them?
  10. A lot of our hobby is base off hobbyist experimenting but yeah aquabiomics can get spendy unless you do their bulk buy.
  11. I would be interested to see an aquabiomics test on the system after the rocks.
  12. You are far from me but if you want to take the drive to Pasadena, I can help. No compensation needed.
  13. Welcome to WAMAS Kathy. Hope you are coming to the next meeting!

  15. Same!!! I have tried 3 differetn Tunze and they would work great for a while and always end up with issues. currently using the one that comes with my hydros with no issues.
  16. Ok. You posted in the For Sale/WTB forum so I was curious. Will move to discussion.
  17. Thanks Tom. We ended up calling JES for an estimate. Unfortunately, they have to go from the top and take out our flooring to complete the job. We are looking at around 5.5k to go in, place a foundation foot (??) and a metal beem to insure it will sustain a 200gal tank. So I might have to delay this project a bit until the funds are available. Looking for a second job now
