  1. I'll volunteer as worker and can do water donation also.
  2. Welcome Doug! Air, Water, & Ice is a long time supporter of the club and they do offer members 10% off https://airwaterice.com/reefkeepers-rodi.html BRS is another good place for a unit. They hold sales often so I would wait until a good sale event if you have time. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulk-reverse-osmosis-filters-systems/wholesale-ro-di/ro-di-units.html
  3. ah gotcha. Another stupid question. Have you changed the batteries?
  4. Another stupid question, I know you said you opened two new reagent bottles, but have you check the alkalinity with the hanna and something else like a salifert?
  5. Thank you! I will definitely watch. I just picked a pair of each one they had at HOT. This hobby is definitely a pain but it has kept me from going full mode depression for years now, so it makes it super hard to let go. If it wasn't for my husband this past few months encouraging and helping out with the fish shed, I think I would have quit a long time ago. Definitely need family support!
  6. I dropped by House of Tropicals to picked out some mollies for the system. Since the Velvet issue, I lost a lot of my fish and can't get myself to pay the prices for fish these days, Mollies seem to be the alternative. They are also great algae eater so win-win. I did a slow drip for about 5 hours to get the salinity up to 1.012. The next day they seem to be doing well and eating. There are a few that I am worried about because they are not as active. Hopefully they will make it through. I might have added too much microbacter 7 and it caused a bit of a bloom. Goal is to get them to 1.026 within a week or so.
  7. Since you're in Frederick I think your closest store is Fintastic that carries it. At least they did a year ago but I would call and make sure they have them currently. Address: 1713 Rosemont Ave suite c, Frederick, MD 21702 Phone: (240) 815-6532
  8. Got the first electric bill with all items running. My average is around $500-600 a month in electricity. Definitely need a second job. But at the end of the day, I can at least relax and enjoy some outdoor relaxation.
  9. It's definitely bigger than I thought it would be. Pics don't do it justice.
  10. I mean any light (design for corals) will grow corals . I can show you the Focustronic stuff later. Long story lol.
  11. So I actually considered getting a bunch of their lights for the build because a lot of people have said good things. I did find out that they fund a lot of the folks that raves about them (free lights etc.) so I went another way. They give me the same feeling that Focustronic did.
  12. Morning!!! Just an update. The admins of WAMAS is working hard in the background to coordinate an in person meeting. More information to come! Excited to see everyone again soon
  13. Looking good! Noops aren't bad, I just hate the controller.
  14. Hey Ron! I think I am close to 500 gal but with rocks and everything I would say closer to 400 gal.
