  1. So Ive decided not to buy any more corals or fish until I get this test done. Any local sponsors salling this kind of test?
  2. You really have nice equipment! Are those AlPrime HD?
  3. Hey Neto! The issue is that I am trying to keep Alkalinity very stable around 9.2. When I do water changes, usually 15% every two weeks, my alk level goes up to 9.9, and using Kalk I am a bit concerned that something bad will happen. Not sure about the best salt for that alkalninity level, but I still have a new bag of IO RF.
  4. I dont like them anymore. Found one eating my montipora.
  5. I was able to take another shot. This looks like a painfull process.
  6. Ups and down... there are some mysteries I still have to resolve lol! I wanted to show you guys that the biggest anemone I have in my tank has split into two :). A new anemone has born! @flooddc I am excited and this is the first time it happens in my tank
  7. wow! How come I never saw this post before??? How big is the redsea? it is looking good!!
  8. Thanks Origami! A suggestion for near future is to allow us to attach bigger images to messages. With new tech and phones every image now is over 3MB.
  9. Love the new design. Clean... simple....just love it . I just dont like my personal info displayed on every msg. That should be kept private.
  10. Is algae growing on its tissue? I have two pieces and whenever I move them, they lose color and close for few days.
  11. Hey! How do you guys match water parameters from new water mix when performing WC, especially Alkalinity? I started using Kalk to maintain my tank's Alkalinity, but now I am worried that I will skyrocket it when adding new water.
  12. Yes, that's a lot. I compared two good kit from Salifert, got different results, but not that much.
  13. may he rest in peace. Noticed that you went hybrid? LED and T5?
  14. Hey, Any advice on chalices? I got one a few months ago and lost it's beauty. It's still alive, but color is almost gone and I am not sure if it's too much light, or too less (around 120 PAR). I have low nutrients: Phosphate .03 ( hanna phosphorous, Nitrates 1-2, sometimes below 1 (Salifert) and I can't quite figure out what happened. There are other chalices that are looking great. I recently started adding 4ml of Reef Energy (RedSea), to deal with the low nutrients, but not sure how long it will take to recover (if nutrients were the issue).
  15. Hey, Have you guys noticed that the new lens/camera makes the aquarium looks like a cartoon?
  16. Looking great!! You got one of most beautiful anemones I've seen... I still have the one I bought from you!
  17. I have to calibrate my refractometer every time I use it and it's off most of the times.
  18. Nitrates and phosphates? It may be too “clean”. Nice equipment though. I have an IM40 too.
  19. Done!! Is the star eating the smallest one????
  20. Any pics? Last time I had a pest on my zoas, I did a 50% water + peroxide dip for 4 mins, and pest was gone!
  21. You should have no issues. Make sure that rock/bricks are not exposed to air for too long!
  22. Are you running carbon, just in case some chemical got into the tank? I had similar experience, but I think it was because my tank was too young. How far from the lights where those corals?
  23. I think it's helping me getting the algae under control. It makes the water clear and I do not have to clean the glass every day as I was used to. I am not sure if the product is also contributing to another type of algae that is similar to a "slime algae", but anyways I am fighting with Vibrant and Phosguard. My nitrated finally made to the 5ppm mark, and I hope everything gets under control.
  24. Here's the mandarin . He seems to be doing good and looks healthy. Little sausage.
