  1. Here is the flatworm if y’all couldn’t spot it. I’ll look at the thread after I cut a few frags and maintenance tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Pretty neat and disgusting pic I saw on the internet. AEFW eggs, there is a flatworm visible on the acro. Bite marks. Looks like they tried to stay hidden on the underside of the acro. Pretty classic symptoms. Trailmarks is another way to help spot them but I don’t see them on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Glad you said something I just happen to be going to Marcos house tomorrow I’ll contact him now to see if he has any extra. Let me know if you have extra just in case it would be nice to get itdone before the holidays Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Do you buy off aquarium specialty store or for the hardware shop ones work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Non dimmable. It’s the ballast unfortunately. Will watch YouTube videos on how to do it. Not looking forward to it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I assume the ballast fires the glow starter plugs? I don’t know how any of this works obviously lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Uhg 2 old bulbs no go. The glow plugs aren’t firing and lights aren’t doing anything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. 6bulbs are on that circuit two bulbs are on the other one. Is it odd that the other 4 bulbs are still working? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I noticed yesterday my ATI middle bulbs are out. I don’t have time to work on it right now just wondering if anyone has seen this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I frag probably 300 home grown acropora per year for Wamas. Now calculate all the sharing from all the members and we put a huge dent in the amount of acros that have to be imported For hobbiest use. A local frag swap I bet 1000s of home grown go out. Until acropora/LPS are completely banned from import we are helping out. More corals left in the ocean=more cover for the fish = healthier reefs and increased fish #s. I would have lost everything by now had someone not told me about Wamas and I can’t tell you how many times I was able to acquire a tool locally that broke or helped until I was able to buy one. The knowledge of how to treat a reef and what sunscreen to wear while snorkeling or beach going. The fish death in the hobby is a bummer but they are working on captive bred. Now that I am over the flashy fish and tangs I try to just buy captive bred. My 2cents
  11. That’s green pocillopora. Not green birds nest. Looking very healthy!! Very happy coral grows fast. After a few years it starts dropping polyps and they pop up everywhere. I think it’s a good problem to have but that explains why it hitchhiked in. Now as the worm just frag it out if you don’t like it or cover the hole with super glue. Shouldn’t bother that coral though
  12. Blue tenuis doing well despite some phosphate issues that killed a couple pieces. One month growth comparison pics. I just wish it would start growing in the other direction also lol
  13. Yea energy sources seem to increase in the burnt area and encrusts back over quick. Seems to encrust back over slower over super glue. The only thing I will do is trim off excess dead stone (only if there is a lot) so there is less surface area to encrust back over
  14. Yea he had cut and sent a WYSIWYG pic on the 6th. I thought it would have showed slight entrustment by now. Not a fan of fresh cuts but this one should hopefully be ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Bio reef wonder boy. I couldn’t find anything on the internet about it. Fingers crossed I don’t have much luck with a lot of the fancy pieces Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It was fine. Arrived at 423pm. The shipper had extra water in it, a heat pack and was sealed up well. Thank you guys for the replies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My acro was supposed to arrive at 1030. I called it’s on the correct truck for delivery today but running late. If they were fish I’m pretty sure some wouldn’t make it. But what is your experience with late corals in winter? The shipper is confident they will arrive fine as there is plenty of water and a heat pack
  18. Mystic monti is very aggressive winning every battle. Time to frag it up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Mine was hit or miss for a long time. I’m wondering if I didn’t have enough nutrients in water
  20. Just added a vote. It’s a good shot. Should take the lead here soon
  21. The only pests are nudibranch, some algae can irritate them, and water quality
  22. +1 stomatella great to have!!
  23. Helped me a lot to buy local. They don’t ship well and have trouble making the adjustment from ocean to captivity. Unfortunately like others had mentioned they like cleaner water so excellent nitrate phosphate test kits are a must if they aren’t doing well. But not too clean like someone mentioned. I like to just keep the stuff detectable on my Red Sea kits.
