I bought a school of three of them and all three stayed under a rock and died. Didn't have very good luck with them. Great looking fish though!

I bought this tank from Brad and it was stunning even with the later lighting schedule. Should be fine. I know the_elite_edge lights don't come on till evening time and they run overnight while he is awake and home.

I started all my tanks with mostly base rock from reefrocks.net and some live rock from someone selling on the local forums. Never had phosphate issues with the reefrocks.

These units are not good for making large quantities of water. Get a nice standard unit from BRS or AWI and enjoy the long term savings to be had.

I use a mag 18 and mag 9.5 for my water changes. Mixes and heats the water all in one shot.

Wife made an impulse buy on a fish and i dont exactly know what it is. It is shaped and acts like a goby burrowing. It is red and white striped with a dark red portion on the very front of the top fin and about 3 inches long. It is a jumper and i can hear it hitting the net tops. Any ideas?

Lighting or flow change? Mine hated when i put in new T5's.

Wow I only run mine for 9 hours a day. T5's on at noon, Halides on at 2 and off at 6, T5's off at 9. Maybe my lighting period is too short. I wonder if 15 hrs from the OP post is too much.

Not many places carry tanks in stock like that. House of Tropicals up in Glen Burnie has tanks in stock, but their prices are ridiculous IMO. Petco carries tanks, but they will be the same as Petsmart for the most part.

Cut it out. Silicone doesn't seal well to itself and will more than likely leak again. EDIT: I've made that mistake before

Should be the standard 10 inch sediment, carbon, and DI cartridges. A picture would help immensely.
