  1. Looking great. Tons of coraline!
  2. What are your nitrate and phosphate levels? You could also up your water changes on top of manual removal.
  3. How big is the setup?
  4. I think they mean teeth. You’d probably want the teeth just to keep snails/fish/anything that could block your drain without them probably will. There was an OG that used a plastic wall mail holder once, but I don’t suggest it!
  5. I think the tank is too small and you’ll see aggression. I had a small yellow tang in my 80 get bullied by my flame & lemon angelfish.
  6. Yup, I can't see the images, just all black!
  7. Thanks! Somewhere along the past 3 months, maybe more, my alkalinity wasn't keeping up. I've since doubled, but the math ain't mathing. I've started manually topping off every morning until I get back to target numbers (doing this slowly) I imagine it will take about 5 days at 45ml manually and another 180ml over 24 hours. In order to maintain I expect I'll be at 200ml daily of ESV Bionic. It feels like it might be a good time to finally hook up the neptune DOS and retire the bubble magus.
  8. Slowly getting the tank cleaned up, looks a ton better without all the stuff cluttering the floor. I'm still working on it, but seeing the results almost immediately. I really need to trim back the slimer and mount it again somewhere else, with the few crashes along the way I lost a lot of my not green colors, the contrast is not as nice as it used to be. I do have a giant colony of cali tort that has been growing on my glass bottom that would color up nicely in the middle, but just don't have the space for it. What I really need to do is cull everything back, like, a lot. I'm starting to understand why some of these old head reefers just dump buckets of trimmings away, dealing with people is hardest part of reefing, lol! Anyways, enjoy, I'm starting to more and more!
  9. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I've not even had y'all on my radar. Shop is close to me, and looks super clean. I've been toying with the idea of a planted tank and saw some very inspiring photos on a google review of one. Going to try and stop by today!
  10. thanks, gents! it’s auto pilot!
  11. I'm a liar. The DSLR is still king.
  12. thanks, Jack! I’m hanging in there, one day at a time! I have always wanted one, I had a large carpet in the 22, I was worried about the overflow getting blocked though and sold it.
  13. WOW. No idea I had let this lapse for so long. Everything is chugging along. For starters, I had the WWC crew stop by and take some videos of the tank. I was pretty embarrassed as a lot had dropped off from our initial talks to them showing up. It was a really fun time. If you have the time to watch it. No, I did not wear camo, that's Dr'd, lol: Things just kind of are. If you watched the video, you can see that I've just let things naturally do it's stuff, I simply don't have the time to tinker, adjust, and even react when I have/identify problems. I'm grateful that I put as much stock into getting it setup properly as I did. The only big change was I picked up a blue/purple Haddoni Anemone. For a guy that doesn't have time to watch a reef tank, I might have picked a difficult species, but it's been happier than a pig in mud. I was hoping my clowns might take to it, but they have not. The cardinal, however, has started hosting that instead of the Aussie Elegance. I didn't feel like breaking out the DSLR, but as it turns out, iPhones are nearly there. Anyways, if you're still here, thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it more than I am able to these days!
  14. Ugh. There’s always something. That’s why I’ve resorted to the approach I have. Hope you can nip it!
  15. Did you notice a difference when you swapped from Primes to Radions? Worth it?
  16. I can’t believe they bothered to film mine! Tank looks great, as usual!
  17. It looks great! Great build!
  18. I dunno, looks like you did a pretty good job at aquascaping for claiming to suck at it
  19. Thanks all, this is super helpful information! I'm actually running the K7V3's on my display at the moment. I have been happy with them, I'm also running x4 T5 bulbs. Pain in the butt to set, but once you get them there it's easy. Have you used the nicrews? What makes them better?
  20. Hello WAMAS! I'm a firm believer of "it's light, it grows things," but what is best bang for the buck these days? Looking to start a conversation to reach a solution, but also help those in a similar situation. I have 3 nano tanks I'm potentially starting, and I'll be moving them around, so preferably a clip/bracket solution VS hanging. I'm looking to keep softies, LPS, easy stuff, so I don't need Radion status. I'm thinking the AI Primes will fit my needs just right, but I did see a few tanks in real time with the Blade lights, and I like the way that they look. I dug a little deeper on reviews, and they are not great at all. That being said, I think any Reef LED Lighting has had mediocre reviews, but I've never experienced any of the issues others have. Should I just get some clip lamps and go old school with a par38 bulb?
  21. Very strange, but possible that you missed a spawning?
  22. For me it's boredom. The tank becomes more of a chore then it is an enjoyment. I love to look at it, but I rarely have the time anymore. The only reason I haven't made any changes or broken it down is because it's pretty much on cruise control sans basic maintenance. I think the lies/misinformation is another really big piece. Facebook has changed groups & forums forever, and maybe not for the better. I see so many folks speaking on something that they have no idea what they're talking about.
  23. I bet you could sell these, amazing!
  24. so they are! Whoops!
  25. Looks great, I'm happy to see some fungia around more these days!
