  1. i do 36 cube
  2. wow, looks pretty cool. do they have optional extra baffles as well?
  3. i always thought you could make the same shape screen as your egg crate by using more corners.
  4. looking good. hopefully you dont have to wait too long. are there any critters still alive on the live rocks?
  5. works for a fish only tank. as the fish healed yet?
  6. haha, it was too fat to move around so it went to the aquariums lypo clinic ( power head)
  7. haha, so it tried to commit suicide, but resulted in multiplying itself.
  8. haha. you can probably just talk to them about the price. you never know, they seem like really nice people.
  9. bacteria you can get from your 14 to seed them. bubble algae is pretty hard to get rid of. worth killing everything in my opinion since it looks like it was infested with them and usually come back without chemicals. get some tiny stars, feather dusters etc from fellow reefers to get the critters in the rocks and you should be good.
  10. good plan.
  11. maybe digitate hydroids? http://www.melevsreef.com/id/digitate_hydroid.html
  12. wow, to think i almost got this instead of the eheim.
  13. might want to add the blenny after the cycle. not sure about the bubble algae. maybe cleaning and cooking the rock would be a better option now that you are aware of his aquarium practices. after you kill everything on the rocks, use a rock from your 14 to seed it. if he dont change the water, who knows what else he does or doesnt do.
  14. ya, unless the lfs can make a buck from this investment, i dont see any reason for lfs to invest in this thing.
  15. wow, looks like thats going to cost more than the test strips they normally use to test customers waters.
  16. cool, i went with sky blue.
  17. looks great. which color did you go with?
  18. pull out as much as you can with your hands or tweezers. it should die down after the cycle.if it dont, cover the tank with a blanket or towel so no light gets into the tank , do water changes and run gfo. i would just do nothing until after the cycle.
  19. man, wish they would happen to pass through my neck of the woods. good deal.
  20. yup, thats why i am going this route. decided to use liquid epoxy mix with sand and pouring it on top of starboard and then silicone the starboard to the bottom of the tank. this way it is still removable. im not going with a deep sandbed look, but rather a thin layer. coraline will grow on it, but can probably be cleaned with a scrubber.
  21. thanks.
