  1. Wow! that's a quick burst! I originally thought it was 33.5 gallons.
  2. According to my wife, TOO MUCH! Honestly, I don't really know exactly but I would estimate about 15-30 looking around and about the tanks as a basic routine maintenance to make sure everything in working order. 1-2 hours every 2-4 week for mixing and water changes - 125G and 29G
  3. Congratulation in opening a restaurant. Can't wait to see some build pics!
  4. I read that water heater might leak lead. Not sure if that still true with newer heater these day. I drank lots of it before and am still here...

  11. they are in a separate container inside the sump.
  12. So, My clownfish laid eggs last week (2nd batch for this pair). 2 night ago, I was fortunately enough to witness the hatching babies (thanks to my newborn whom woke me up for her routine feeding). So I managed to scope about half a dozen out into a container before hey all eaten by other fish and shrimp. Placed into the refugium. Power up the air stone pump for oxygen. Feed them PhytoPlan's phytoplankton. Next morning look around for some dried freezed rotifer with no luck. Found a packet of "first bite" @ a local store. By the end of the day, only one survived and I can see some form of coloration in it. Last night I suspected that the remainder of the eggs will hatched, and I was right on. I turned of the light, turned off circulation pump and awaited and they are finally, hatched around midnight. Managed to only scoped out 10 or so (saw a few in the sump, so I cutoff the protein skimmer, give them a chance of survival, hopefully they can survive on their own). I wonder if anyone successfully raised them without culturing rotifers??? As of now there are about 6 babies that I can account for. Continue to feed ever few hours and hope they all make it to the next stage (I got some brine shrimp eggs, hopefully I get to use them).
  13. pretty sure I'll keep looking, maybe something hitchhiked in the LR and now grown.
  14. I have sea urchin and serpent stars in DT that moves stuffs around, but this is absolutely weird!
  15. I have no other creature in there. Last giant brittle worm was removed a while back and has not seen any others (maybe a few small ones). hmm! perhaps I sleep walked and move it myself
  16. Okay, I have a heliopora frag about a finger size wide and 2 inches long. it have been sitting in the bottom of my fuge/sump for a while. As of yesterday, it was still in the same spot. Today, it is about 6-8 inches away from its original spot (I know things can move around). But this moved UPWARD and ON TOP of a live rock!!! what or who moved it UPWARD that far??? I have 2 small snails, a small dwarf hermit crab and a 3-4 in hippo tang living in there. Don't have any sea urchin!!!, I have no idea what creature capable of moving it ... STRANGE!
  17. RODI auto shut off kit fro BRS. I have a similar kit and it saved multiple times from flood. So every time I run my RODI, I've also set my phone alarm to remind myself to turn off the water.
  18. That's suck! good thing you have backup. Well at least they posted a notice. I have seen similar notices in the mail and you usually don't read your mail until afterward they cut off power!
  19. that's one huge clam!
