  1. Wow! I loveeeeee the scape!
  2. If worried, I would just ask them to put some water from a hose or whatnot in it to make sure the bottom is water tight... Only need 1/4 of an inch to make sure it's not leaking...
  3. Part of it is they find a little algae... And they seems to start and they can't stop... I had one strand on some new zoas I got and my ruby emerald crab pulled that off... But then kept eating the zoas, lol while I thought about removing him, he hasn't done it again... So I'm guessing he just got carried away? You just have a much larger area for him to get carried away :(
  4. Love the rock! And wow for the sump! Fits great, looks like a stellar build start, can't wait to see the unveiling pictures
  5. Lol, and I can't keep them alive no matter what I do!
  6. Yes, sapelo island... And really the best part of being a member is the community here... But as Rebecca mentioned the frags that other members sell are usually a great deal
  7. What a great way to educate new hobbyists without sounding 'preachy' or whatnot!
  8. What a strong beginning to your reef! Seems like you did a lot of research and planning
  9. Welcome! Lots of decent setups for sale in the members section a lot! P.s. I was taking some marine biology classes at a CC in Jax, FL and we went up to GA to sit in on some classes and then go shrimping on a boat from the marine biology department!
  10. garlic is good for is pizza and 'hopefully' inducing a fish to eat (which I've never understood since they don't eat pizza) but I think selcon would work better
  11. Welcome! Hope you'll get moved before the frag fest!
  12. I'll be working Saturday, but if you still need help that Sunday I am down!
  13. Also, consider making a screen top as the tubs are a little shallower than tanks usually and want to make sure your fish are safe...
  14. Lol... I love Paul! things like this are interesting to me...as it was invented before I was born and is the precursor to most of the hobby as we know it today
  15. I prefer to leave them in... I have only ever had the original fish that showed signs of ich actually die, if even then, so I figure the other fish that are in are healthy enough to fight off the parasites...
  16. Tanks looking stellar!
  17. Option D is my choice... It what I did when I moved not far from our old home to our new one... Also with this option you could break stuff down into the smaller tanks to move the larger one... Then move everything over...
  18. I have had it recede and regrow... Not usually too much of a problem... Something may have tried to eat it or the flow is aimed right at that spot, or something stung it...
  19. Very beautiful!
  20. Welcome! Hope to meet you Sunday! Sounds like this meeting will have a good turnout
  21. Never had a problem with the speed.. And I only run mine at 50% so I think one on a 90g would be fine..especially if your doing sps or something else you'd have it set higher..and then have the ability to set a manifold like Isaac was mentioning...
  22. My original one was from them..and so is the replacement... I got literally one of the first ones they had... The heat sink on the controller was not big enough, so it shorted the tiny fan and then slowly started overheating.. Caught it before an issue and def glad I never mounted it to my panel with my othe components cuz I wouldn't have had a reason to ever touch it..
  23. Love my replacement 12k...
