  1. Mine got to about 8 inches long before I got rid of her, since we were moving. When she was smaller, years 1-3 she wasnt as BAD...but when she went in the 150g she started getting very territorial, plus she got a new boyfriend and a new nem she never could smother, lol
  2. To give you an idea.. That anemone is 18 inches wide... (This was my 150g aggressive tank with compact fluorescents, hence the bleached nem, but it was like that for 5 years)
  3. Awwww I almost miss my gold stripe female and white stripe male Almost, lol Had to buy thick plastic cleaning gloves to clean the tank with cuz she bit me so much... Then she started being able to bite through them, lol And then we got orders to move...
  4. I would definently consult a structural engineer for a load this size. Then you will know what and where to put the extra support. But sounds like a great tank build!
  5. I'm with Rob... Depending on where you are you're water is probably fine.. And get a skimmer rated higher than the 200g you are going to have.. Having 5 triggers and a few other big'ish fish in a 150g I was running an ASM G3x..
  6. Have someone take pictures! Good luck!
  7. When you say phosphorus, are you sure you're not reading phosphates? If your not, that's another reading you may want to be taking,,, I have gone months with no growth, and then they start to a bit... Also... I think someone asked, but how are they dying? Bleaching out must just be sps but what about the LPS youre talking about? going to mush and falling apart, just stop extending? (P.s. I thought I was having a problem because ALL of my mushrooms and ricordias were dying... They were beating eaten by an evil Eunice worm I didn't know I had)
  8. Looks good! I think 8 is to small too once you start falling in love with corals that want to grow!
  9. Yay! Glad to hear y'all are back with a big tank build coming up!
  10. Oh, sorry to hear you will be leaving! But good luck! Michigan is GORGEOUS! (Plus depending on where you are, you're not far from Canada!)
  11. :( Buy your fish and corals through ERC! I love the fish I have gotten from Marcos... But atleast your mangroves are growing well... Any work the rain ato? That sounded like a great idea...
  12. I didnt see mine for a solid week... Then one day the pellet feeder went off and she rushed it! Guess she ate as many pods as she could and wanted something new...lol
  13. Lol... And I would love it if it had all those things in it! Another year?
  14. Yeah I'd just turn your % down by 10-20... So like 50 or 60%
  15. LOVE cold water tanks... When I move back out to WA I will be setting one up. With a blue spot
  16. Very niceeeeee
  17. I'm seconding that undoctorial diagnosis
  18. How deep is your tank? If less than 20 inches I'd say turn your lights down to 50% if more than they should be okay and it could be something else? Can you get a picture if the zoas with your blues turned down? I've not seen zoas bleach out from lights, but it could happen if they came from somewhere darkish and put under there...
  19. How close is your light to the sand bed....what lights and what intensity do you have them set to?
  20. I'm with Isaac... It seems ive had it without knowing it other than a few little spots in my DT....It got on 1 piece of rock in the sump.... I have about 4 emeralds at any given time and they grab the few tiny bits that make it into the tank... Haven't really had any huge outbreaks in the DT, but obviously can't eradicate it permanently... I've just started rotating the rock from my sump up into the tank having the crabs clean it...
  21. Beautiful! As always!
  22. Looks good! Nice change...
