  1. What leds do you use again? Curious what it takes to supplement 400w mh
  2. Or, upgrade pumps so you still end up with just one in the sump. Is it sump space that concerns you in having two pumps
  3. Hmmm, getting a better sense. The 300gph was going in, not out. Do an experiment. See how long it takes to fill a gallon jug from your reactor output, then recalculate for head pressure if you plumb it higher.
  4. If you don't mind powerheads for in-tank flow...then I think no big deal if you only get 150-200gph from return into frag tank. Its only 20g and it doesn't take much to turn over that volume.
  5. Really really lovely, scape looks great
  6. Looking good And things that will give you more tank time... - baby swing - baby bjorn (when a little bigger) - grandparents Cheers
  7. Dell2go - that's fantastic! Thanks for sharing
  8. Nice tank! What kind of gorg is that? I'm assuming photosynthetic, right??
  9. Yauger found someone who did a good job, not sure how far from MD...but his stand is nice
  10. that seems so strange you can't keep sps you might have shipped to you...did I read that right?
  11. is that dosing both parts at the same time maybe? Suspect more precip that way...why else would that happen?
  12. Our current building banned house plants....something tells me a fish tank wouldn't fly
  13. Btw - how much does the Bayer cost?
  14. ^ +1 on not knowing what was in there. Hate to QT coral in something exposed to the wrong stuff
  15. All looks very very nice! BTW - what is that gorg in your DT? (not the blueberry)
  16. Jim, I think YOU should be the next WAMAS connection in Hawaii. Send me something exotic when you get there :-)
  17. What did you dose to up your pods? Sounds like things are coming along nicely
  18. Minh, my brain is swimming but I'm glad to have you on the boards
  19. What are you using for an overflow? Perhaps post that for help with sizing a return pump. Remember you'll want a constant water level in your skimmer compartment....or if not using a compartment then make sure turning off your return pump will not overflow your skimmer and collection cup.
  20. Red Sea has a package for testing mg, all, and ca that got good reviews....its what I went with this last time
  21. I was surprised by the damage I did to an old mj impeller where there was some rubber around the shaft tip...think it was rubber. But I let that sit for days by accident. I'm just saying be smart as vinegar is more potent than you might otherwise expect. I think all the rubber is visible...I was overly cautious about my power cord and the impeller this time is all. A short soak isn't likely an issue for anything
  22. Nice list :-)
  23. Do you have your list done yet? Which way are you leaning on the angel? I'm in the market for one too
  24. I put about a gallon of water in and splashed maybe a cup of vinegar...then dropped in my powerhead last night. I yanked the pump and propellar after 20m or so, but otherwise left the components in all night that had no rubber. Coralline flaked off when I ran tap water over the pieces that sat overnight. I had to really scrub the pieces I didn't soak as long, but vinegar seems to really eat up some rubber given a past experience.
  25. ^ Jealous...as you can probably pull that off with this size tank and enough rocks/pods...where I will have to wait until I get a bigger tank. What kind of lights are you planning on? How are you going to dose? If you need 2-part or dosers then jump on the BRS group buy
