  1. Acrylic scratches.... it takes a bit of elbow grease but it's possible to remove scratches. easier when the tank is empty
  2. I am trying to optimize the flow throughout my system. I have a 50g refugium, which is connected to the display tank (270), sump (40-80) and a frag tank (30). What should be the idea turnover rate for the refugium based on the size of this system? would 2x or 3x be enough? I don't have a lot of growth in there, the refugium is pretty much used as a food source, and some softies..
  3. Yep have this one too, just a pain to do it under 25-30” of water Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yea kind of surprising there is so little on each pad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yep a bit pricey but if the quality is good it may be worth getting it. I’ve probably spend much more than 200 over the years on crappy magnets Have you tried the scratch kit? It is any good? The large types of pads and accessories is another reason why I am leaning toward buying it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Might be worth calling their support, It happened to me when i first got the unit (after updating it), ended up being defective.
  7. Has anyone used those? any feedback? I am thinking of replacing my tiger float with the FF-3 (acrylic 3/4" panels)
  8. This morning the foam is pretty much gone, seems like the activated carbon took care of it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That's a great idea I will try it out tomorrow morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. There's a little bit of foam in the overflow... it's pretty much where there is strong flow with air Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The foam will come back. I think one of the filter socks came in contact with a little bit of soap. I should have probably have removed the filter sock [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hey all, Someone some laundry soap made it's way to one of my felt filter socks. Nothing died, but a lot of foam everywhere, so I had to turn off the skimmer. Right now I run carbon, and already changed 40g yesterday (around 300g system). Is there anything else I should be at this stage? or just let the activate carbon do it's thing?
  13. Yep they grew like weed in there. Faster than the cheato Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
