  1. Buy some glass and make your own...... Banner glass will cut to your needs.....it was surprisingly easy when I did mine, made an internal and external with glass and silicon, couldn't believe how strong the bond is. Coral hind ran the file hanger and truthfully it looked fantastic. It's like sumps, buy premade or make your own...
  2. Maybe got messed up with the 0% financing on his new apex and dc pump?
  3. Why dont you just put a peristaltic on a timer and just check salinity every so often? You should be able to get you evap in a few days
  4. What was on the rocks coral wise? Zoanthids, acro monti etc Never seen it get thay bad but if you had corals out sliming the area or a hydroid or something
  5. Other option is to just get a 75gpd membrane and a new flow restrictor that matches as they are not very expensive
  6. I added a stage for that reason Sediment...catalytic carbon....carbon block....ro membrane up top....di resin ..... Air water and ice or the local vendors can't be beat for service and advice imo.....
  7. Usually goes micron filter, carbon block, into membrane on top, then into DI resin and I to container....
  8. I've done this 3 times, but two of them were only 40 and 90 gallon tanks........180g water change woo hoo If you need water for another change faster then you can make it i have about 100ish gallons ready for have 55 fresh 50ish salt Also Still have a 100g stock tank or anything else at my disposal if you need it..... Very sorry again, miss that onyx
  9. Noooooooo Oh man I feel your pain....stevem blue table...noooooooooooooo one of my favorite corals If anyone has this let me know, I sold a bunch of frags long ago I've got a pair of Picasso from fazio if you want em.....if I had sps you know they would be yours, plan on starting that addiction back up so will be happy to throw you drags when I have em
  10. Entrusting rim usually is Can kinda see it here Could be wrong but it look like a. nasuta....been outta the game a while but
  11. Well 80 gallon is still going strong, dirty but strong, monti and chalice doing too well....fish fat and happy Auto water changes are a saving grace, actually did a cleanup the other day....granted only 15g...but it was a disgusting 15gal Trying to pull myself back in, keep lurking and wanting acros zoas and clams but resisting.... New car is running well and I started a second business coaching performance driving so trying to stay busy ...anyone wanna learn how to drive? Came in 5th and 4th in its first sprint races, then won the Enduro race overall...so very happy with a new car and starting to get back into driving. Here are the most recent pics (daughter featured the blueface for a school report)...excuse the dirtiness.
  12. Speedy full recovery please. Suprised your apex didn't warn you of the pressure differences. I mean you probably have it programmed to do that. Sent you a pm and please let me and us know if anything is needed
  13. Just be careful, alot of the t5/fluorescent replacement led bulbs that still use the ballasts had issues with fires in commercial use according to a good friend who is in that business
  14. Summit main t1 outside into the burm/tree line......so a bit higher speed than Shenandoah
  15. Guy dropped oil, technically around the entire track.....was at the back of the back when he was droping oil,...when we came arouND after him I could not see the line of oIL he had dropped.... Went from top speed to top speed sideways.....3 rolls/flips etc later landed on all 4 tires and was able to walk out. ...cheers to safety equipment and the safety crew...video makes you cringe. Old yellar was put down rather harshly .....but kept me safe....was a really good car and national champ in 2015 in class..hopefully we can salvage some good parts of her and let her live on Local shop is keeping me on the path to recovery and has found some options I'm hoping to make work for a new car (well new old)...they started a go fund me thing etc unbeknownst to be.....just great group of guys I call family Intersport in tysons But again I'm walking and don't even have a bruise..
  16. So it's been a rough month.....tank is doing great, fish and corals are happy. I had a lightning sttike very near the house that took out my neighbors entire house electrically...he had to replace wires in the wall, all electronica etc....ugh I was in the office when it happened lost a few power supplies and 2 surge protectors.... Didn't realize that it had reset my aciii and the power supply for the expansion set that has the temp probe had been fried....tank got hot and lost my anthias and alost a couple corals....but seems to be bouncing back once I noticed it. All the upgrades and finishing touches are now on hold in my other hobby had a MAJOR incident on track...walked away healthy thankfully but am now in the process of funding a new car...... Unfortunately this may mean the fish tanks take a break....definately going to have a large garage sale ...156g, mh, skimmers, spares etc. .....really hopING I don't break down the 80g....but it's on my mind....may keep the qt tank or just take a break for a while.... Stinks as the tank is very low maintenance right now....i just need the funds to keep my other hobby alive
  17. Clams like light and good water, be mindful if it's closed alot you probably have a fish nipping need to protect or rehome quickly. I'm a big clam fan, hopefully it word out well for you, I never did any additional feeding etc. If you think it isn't looking good try to find a new home sooner vs later
  18. They will be fine with lower flow for a day...or try moving a rock in front of the zoas to just slow the flow down there. Be warned the nem may decide to move of you change the flow around too much
  19. Describe said lobster...we talking a mantis shrimp or a lobster or a crab.... I really hope your salinity was and or is 1.027 not 1.27 specific gravity.....or 35ppt I like my temps a little lower to have more room for error...77 78 range As for corals, if you cleaning the water too much with the reactor....carbon/gfo.....or it was done too quickly you could shock the corals... Other things to look for are stray voltage Proximity of coralso to one another
  20. So for the auto water change I'm using the Avast peristaltic pumps and my aciii.....it takes about 2 to 2.5 hours to do a little over a gallon.... Had to time the pumps to match the flow rate, one is 2hr other is like 219. So far have had no issues...took then and redid a cycle a few weeks ago and were still in tune with one another The peristaltic pumps look amazing and are nice and quiet for their rate. For the cost and little bit of calibration testing......Avast is as usual exceeding my expectations. ..I now just check my salinity every so often for sanity and refill my salt h20 resivoir monthly
  21. Dirty qt tank, well zoa holding tank too Hopefully I'll be able to get some of my prize corals back and the work on some new jems......if you ever got some of my nicer corals please let me know I'd love to buy some frags back
