  2. New frags, Bubble rose and some hardware.. not to mention good people, Great store!! I would love to see these guys go full retail 7 days a week!
  3. Okay so We are contemplating getting in on the new group buy, and would like to hear from previous/current owners ( no hearsay) about the pro's and con's of the fixture.. From dealing with the manufacturers, the product itself, growth and production, warranty dept, etc...
  4. Go10" or larger make sure to use a filter grille
  5. also adding the return line directly from the ductwork means that every time the AC runs it will be pulling that humid air and dehumidifing it across the coil
  6. you have to check the square footage of that room and make sure that the inline fan or a bathroom exhaust fan if you will as correct amount of CFM's that would make a difference but it is an option I would think going with the return from the actual duct if its cessible would be easier than going to the block wall with an exhaust fan...
  7. Okay so first off the exhaust to the flue is a very bad idea, don't do it. Now, adding a return will help however you will need to run your blower motor constantly to have an effect.. is it variable speed? If not you will still see an increase in energy cost.. but it may still be less than running the dehum.. don't add a supply to that room either you are trying to dehumidify the space and conditioned air while having some dehumidification attributes still contains way more humidity than the standard air within the home what you'd like to do is close of the supply air to the basement completely and add the return to the fish room this should change your situation. I personally think that if you're not going to add a a whole home dehumidifier then you still going to want to run the dehumidifier for that room from time to tim. Hvac service mechanic 10 plus years
  8. O, kwell... 5 ppm is kinda minimal.. lol!! Fish on!
  9. Sorry, I have that mixed up .. Ammoinia becomes nitrites( no2) which in turn become nitrates (no3).. So it sounds like your nitrites have not completely converted to nitrates.. Just my opinon, I would not do a water change yet.. Let the nitrites change over.
  10. Nitrates become nitrites before turning into ammonia?
  11. N02 is nitrites and n03 is nitrates? chime in here people!!!
  12. So this is a bare bottom tank? Very nice! I have to say that, I have never had the brass to try a bare tank.... I would think It would take way more attention to detail then a DSB? Much less room for error? just curious, i want to start a FOWLR and if I could go w/o a DSB i will....
  13. I don't know much about Overhead/ mark-up, but that seems steep to me for a 50 gallon tank.. IMO.. I have seen tanks retail and on here that come with alot more, for alot less. Just my humble opinon.
  14. I guess, when you have a TV show you can go from $1/gallon to $100/gallon .. That's the Movie star pricing!!! LLS!!!
  15. I would let them build me a tank!, But I do the stocking, start up etc.. They move way to fast and you'd lose $1,000's of $$$ in fish! no thanks!
  16. Thanks steve, We have lift off!! It's alive!!!
  17. Here's a video link https://www.dropbox.com/s/adqj73b3qku56be/VIDEO0026.mp4 I will post if it changes, also LMK if it's set properly

  19. Not sure, But it's about 9+ years old..
  20. I looked it up and I think it's set right.. But, It appears to change day to day..
  21. I have been looking at Needle wheel style skimmers? Bubble magus etc.. Any thoughts on that? I can do without the excess bubbles that I hear about.
  22. Agreed, I don't care much for the design.. I think I prefer something with a Venturi... Just my humble opinion. But, It could be an operator error
  23. Aqua-C Older model w/ mag 9 ,tried cleaning it... Not producing Anything, even after feedings... I have it set up as I should. Anyone know about these? I've always owned ASM's However, This one came with the tank.. Thought I would give it a try, Very disappointing so far.
