Get a grounding probe and hook it into your tank...and remeber everything good in this hobby takes time.. You hear stories all the time of ppl that rush and end up with 10 dead fish! Just try and be paceint and look at others photos so you can start planning!

Would putting an icecube on the foothold make it let loose without cutting or do you have to cut it free!

What is the real issue here? I don't think wamas should ban any coral... but the seller should be responsible to make sure his or her corals go to a good tank... if simply put you'll sell to anyone then your going to get a tang in a 10gallon... anyway I hope people will release that corals are alive too... anyway I was told not to get a mandrin in my 24 and he lived for 3 years... anyway hope it helps Troy

Thats what I figured you should of seen this stuff it was awful.. it covered every rock and was green with tiny balls... like valonia only small and I couldn't kill it I put a small tang and he couldn't dent the stuff...anyway I will most likely be doing zoos paly's and other softies and lps any other info would be helpful no sps in the tank.

Like the look, its one of the better nanos out there... you may want to watch the gps it will take over in a small tank... dr mac sends it to me all the time and I always trade it even though its very pretty!

I had a nano and never dipped corals previously whats the best stuff to get rid of any hitchhikers that might be living on the coral...Can you dip aneomies clams? lps ... anyway I got a really nasty form of calurpa and I'm trying to avoid this in the future!

You asked about skimmer for skimming purposes most ppl would agree that bigger is better.. you really can't overskim... I'm putting a 90 gallon skimmer on my 46 bowfront!

The other nice thing about a larger system is you can get a wider array of fish! tangs are soo cool too bad My tank is too small...anyway the club can also help with moving the tank and other problems that may arrise

You can either pay someone like naga to drill the tank and build a nice custom overflow or you can do it yourself with a glass drill bit and a peice of plywood... first thing to check is the glass tempered and if so is it only on the bottem.. second thing is it really glass and not aryclic... maybe those should be reversed anyway welcome to wamas 265 is a monster of a tank.. makes my little 46g look tiny. Lighting is the most expesnive part so you need to figure out what kind of corals you want to grow.. theres a great members only sale page if you pay a membership fee... will save you a ton of money!

Are there any fish in the tank? if not then your probably ok! I had a bunch of snails spawning in my nano and my clams let out some spawn too... but I never got any babies cause I had a dragonnette

My advice is to get a larger chiller then you need I burned one out running it to max capacity

wow thats great! or sad but cool.. my bubble tip ate a few of my shrimp one time, but nothing that big!

oh and in the mean time kill that asteptia they are coral killers and will take over your tank in no time... You may want to look at some pictures of corals to see what types you want to grow? I started with insuffience lighting and had to upgrade later at a huge expense when I could have started out with better lighting in the first place.... oh and remeber that some of the brighter lights get very hot..

That is soo wierd I hope they show up? I only asked because an emerald crab messed up my gobies... they are too afraid to run anywhere but thier holes and the emerald waits and picks them off... anyway hope your find them!

Yep we are still together and shes on the board now:) wish my family was the same.. I drove through the night to pick up a tank in the snow.... I almost died and nearly had a heart attack on 95 north from fredricksburg.. anyway I NEED A JOB.... best of wishes to everyone that shares my addiction!
