  1. This is my original reef tank. A 55 gallon All Glass non-drilled tank. I upgraded to a 75 back in May so I decided to make this into a frag tank. I was running it bare bottom at first, but I had some nitrate issues so I decided to add a 4" DSB. I am running the Brightwell Neozeo system on this tank. I am using the Biofuel, Microbacter 7, Koralle VM, and Koral Kolor. I plan on starting the Potassium as well as Reef Snow during the 5th week of the system. I hope to find a more cost effective choice to Prodibio, which I am running on my main tank. After the sand died down I added a frag rack. Some of my frags. Under actinics only I will try to post more pics later.
  2. My tomato clown attacks me every time I stick my hand in my frag tank, that's what got him kicked out the main tank
  3. Any Seio M1500 super flow pump impellers in stock John?
  4. Does anyone have an extra I can buy or know where I can find one locally?
  5. Rod's Food, pellets, flake, mysis shrimp and such, I just alternate days. My corals I feed Dt's phyto
  6. actually the megapixels affect the size of the photo that you can print, not really the quality of the pic. I would never need to print a pic at 5616 x 3744 resolution
  7. Too rich for my blood, but a guy can dream can't he
  8. Very nice. EOS Check out the samples page... Samples
  9. The brown outs that I found were at Roozen's, but they get so much stock it is a matter of luck coming across a nice piece. These two have been the only corals that I have purchased from there and I think it was a matter of luck that I found them hiding in the back of one of the tanks.
  10. I will buy browned out frags, colonies....not so much. I have had 2 frags that started out brown turn into nicely colored pieces, one was a tri-color, one purple. I just don't think people are willing to pay the money for brown colonies.....as dzekunoi pointed out it is a gamble, I will gamble $10 to see what happens but less inclined to spend $40 or $50.
  11. Just be sure to rinse it first and it should be fine to use as long as you don't get your yard chemically treated.
  12. Dude.....Awesome tank, it looks even better in person. Thanks again for having the wife and I over......GO SKINS!!!!! I love the job you did with the plumbing, it is very neat and tidy....and as Guy said....simple. Your tank looks great. I can't wait to see how it turns out since we started the Zeo system at the same time.
  13. Try some aquarium sealent if nothing else works, that may work for what you are trying to do.
  14. I just used PVC glue from Lowes, costs about $5 a can and comes with primer and glue.
  15. I think red eyes are bad, and he looks mean
  16. I believe members have the right to gripe about whatever they please. I have visited a lot of the local stores, some I love and visit regularly, some are just too far away for me to enjoy them as much as I would like. I have posted a few reviews of stores that I have visited. There has not been a single store in the area that I have had a negative review for including my LFS Roozens which we all know isn't the greatest at customer service. I spend more money in a store where I feel appreciated as a customer and if I don't feel the store deserves my business I take it to someone who does.
  17. The system is similar to Prodibio. Both methods set out to achieve the same results...brighter corals and a nutrient free system. I have been dosing Prodibio in my main tank for 4 weeks now. I am very happy with the results so far. I have noticed less and less of an algae film on my glass. Before I would have to clean it at least every 3 days, I cleaned it 2 weeks ago and it has not returned yet. My corals seem to show more color now, at least to me. I started the Brightwell system this week on my 55 gallon tank to see if I could accomplish the same results as Prodibio at a fraction of the cost.
  18. Yes, I am starting a dedicated tank thread for my journey into the Neozeo world. We started dosing at the same time Mark so it should be interesting to see the differences.
  19. I have one, but only run phos b gone when I have spikes in my phosphates, I run carbon in it the rest of the time.
  20. I haven't been able to cure the white fungus with Furan 2, but it did wonders when one of my colonies got zoa pox....those little white spots all over the polyps. I think this is also very helpful.
  21. I am going to try this for the next few days to see if I get the same results before I pick up the Salifert tests.
  22. I am using the API kit, I think I will pick up the Salifert kits, I have the MG kit and it is very accurate
  23. I am running 2 of the ATI's 48" length Blue plus and they are really blue. I just installed them this week so really no report on how they are so far. I just added my frags back into the tank last night. I will try to get some pics of the lights on together but I am very happy with the ATI's as far as color goes. ATI's Thanks again for saving some for me Sean, I haven't got a diatom outbreak yet
  24. My alk is 9 and my mag is around 1300
  25. What could be causing my calcium to rise? I have been monitoring all levels for the past 2 weeks in preparation for dosing Prodibio. It was holding steady at 440 for the past few days then in the last 2 days it has jumped up to 480. I haven't dosed anything and the only thing I added is top off water. Mag and KH have been the same over the past couple of days.
