  1. BRK and Roozens are the only places I have found them in this area. Congressional aquarium in Rockville had some, but not a good selection.
  2. I see you got your maroon back, hope this one doesn't change colors on you...lol.
  3. Check out Air Water and Ice, they are a sponsor for the club and I was really impressed with my RO/DI purchase from them, easy to set up and use. They have a section under the vendor forums, you can ask any questions you may have there. Your clean up crew should be fine eating the leftovers in your tank, algae is not a necessary diet for them.
  4. He normally closes around 2 PM so you may want to give him a call early and Friday is the only day that they sell them, also they only accept checks or money orders, so be prepared.
  5. Wanna buy my k8? Way too much flow for a 75 gallon
  6. The Furan 2 should work out for you. I picked up mine at Aquaco, it came it packs and was a powder solution, there weren't any capsules. It stopped the progression and some of the polyps started making a comeback after treatment. I used it in a 2.5 gallon tank with salt water from my main tank, let it sit for about 20 minutes, rinsed with new salt water and placed back into main tank. Very good article on zoa pox treatment....zoa pox I treated my zoa's for 3 successive days and it cured my problem. I never had to do a second 3 day treatment.
  7. sweet zoa's
  8. Water changes seem to work for me. My calc never drops below 440 with weekly 10% changes.
  9. Mutant Aiptaisia I have one in my tank that my peps refuse to touch, I have just been watching it grow. I have some Aiptasia X but I want to see how big this one can get before I make it implode
  10. I have always had astreas die on me, I would buy 20 from Roozen's and 10 would be dead within 2 or 3 months, even in a tank with no hermit crabs. I have had better luck with the nass snails, of the 200 I got through the group buy only 6 died and I think that may have had something to do with the 3 hermit crabs that were mixed in with them (pleasant surprise).
  11. The tank looks good dude, I like the sand.
  12. I just wanted to thank AWI for the excellent customer service that I received. I had a leaky faucet adapter and they mailed a new one out on Wednesday free of charge, I received it today and it works flawlessly.
  13. I have only read that it is very expensive, I never tried any though.
  14. I couldn't find one of the kids boats to do the demo with... :(
  15. These are the newer models, they just came out this month, low noise and electronic start up.
  16. I think I will find one of my son's toy boats to see how it survives the storm
  17. It's going in my 75 gallon, I just wanted to see what it could do...it shocked me to say the least.
  18. I just picked this up, I placed it in my 29 QT and it caused quite a storm, I will have to get a vid of it in action when I go home for lunch. This thing is awesome.
  19. will do Dave
  20. I have some SPS that are simply taking up space and a few zoa's that I don't particularly need. If there are any schools or student members that are interested, just send me a PM. I will be attending the Zoo social this weekend, so pickup there is preferred, however they can be picked up from my home as well. Some pics..... linky
  21. I got along fine with normal tap water for a year and a half without any problems. I started developing Cyano when I was adding nutrients through my addition of frozen mysis cubes. I did not realize I was adding nutrients to the tank, and after rinsing the mysis before adding the cyano seemed to go away.
  22. I like watching things grow Yes this is the tank that I am dosing Prodibio. I still haven't purchased a new camera, so I am not all that happy because the colors just aren't coming through. I have two pieces of the large acro on the left hand side, that is the one I gave you a frag of Mark. I actually like the color of the colony in my frag tank a little more than the one in my main tank. I am thinking of adding the Koral Color to the Prodibio dosing to see if it improves colors in the main tank. I am not sure if I will go with the Neozeo media just yet. I am only running carbon in my reactor. If the results continue to show positive results, and I am liking them so far, then I will gradually switch over the to Brightwell system in place of the Prodibio.
  23. This is my 75 gallon AGA reef ready aquarium. I picked this up for $40 off of RC from someone who moved and left it for the new owner, well the new owner didn't know a thing about saltwater and didn't want to clean off the coraline so I got it for a steal I did not own a reef ready tank before this one so I came to Wamas for help and help they did, I had it up and running within the month. Built my own sump, cause I like to build stuff FTS as of 9/26/08 Some fishies and corals Sump Cheato Candycane Misc.
  24. As far as dosing Brightwell, I am on my 4th week of the Neozeo system. I have been using half of the recommended dosage for a 100 gallon tank since it is a 55 gallon and the rock work displaces at least 5 gallons. Since I was having nitrate issues I started with the recommended dosage for high nutrient systems. Biofuel: 5ml daily Microbacter 7: 10ml daily first 2 weeks then 5ml per week Koral Color: 2ml every 3 days Koral VM: 10ml per week first 4 weeks then 20ml weekly I am running the Neozeo media in a 2LF's phosban reactor with a mini-jet 404 running at approx. 56 gallons per hours. Next week I will be adding my final amount of Neozeo media that will place it at 500 grams for my tank and increasing the flow to 100 GPH. After the 5th week I am planning to follow the instructions and change 25% of the media per week. I have an Aqua C Remora skimmer on the tank as filtration and 2 Koralia # 3's for flow. There is a 300 watt heater to provide warmth on those cold nights.
  25. The Remora I got from you
