Repost of what I posted before.... I have been using ReefChoice kalk and carbon for a little over 8 months now, not only are the products great but the price is right as well, I got a gallon of kalk for under $12. Dave is a good guy to sit and talk tank with, if you have any questions about carbon or kalk he will give you very good and detailed advice, his customer service is exceptional. If you get a chance, I would suggest trying some of Dave's products, or simply visit his website to see what he has to offer....ffaquatics By the way, I use a home made kalk dripper.

I stopped in to check out fins and feathers today for the first time and I was very impressed with the store and staff. It is truly a great family run business, the customer service is out of this world, even though it was my first visit they made me feel right at home. They had a great selection of corals available, so I picked up some nice pieces. I will definitely go back again, great store.

Very nice selection of zoa's at BRK, I stopped in to pick up a monti and ended up leaving with some zoa's as well, good stuff.

Thanks guys it is still a work in process, hopefully I will have it exactly the way I want it once I clean some of the frags out.

I cracked the one with the black background when I was trying to drill it. I purchased another tank and drilled it correctly. I decided the blue would reflect the light better. The black eggcrate came from a group buy last year sometime, I got a huge sheet, 2x4 ft.

I currently have 5 fish that inhabit this tank, 2 onyx percs that I got from Walt over a CMAS, a coral beauty that I got from Aquaco before he closed for renovations, a 6 line wrasse and a tailspot blenny (I love this guy) that I got at the BRK social. I have 3 shrimp that make the place home, a giant skunk cleaner, a scarlet blood shrimp, and a single very large peppermint shrimp, a bunch of nass. snails, some atrea's, some ceriths, and a single blue leg hermit. Forgive the pics, I am trying to learn how to use the camera. Most recent FTS: My sump, I went for the 10 gallon to a 15 gallon and upgraded the skimmer, I have a Euroreef Cs5 something or other on there now. It is rated for tanks up to 90 gallons, so I think it can handle my 30 gallons total water volume.

I have a ton of extra portland type I/II if you need some, a little goes a long way. I have been using Almon's recipe of 4 parts aragonite and one part portland and it works fine.

I really need to update that thread. I got the fixture for $60 from a CMAS member, the bulbs were the biggest cost, trying different combo's.

I have a 36" Nova current fixture over my 20L, it is the 4 bulb version. Might be overkill, but it works. I tried running all 3 10k bulbs, but the color made the zoa's look horrible. I ended up changing the bulbs out and replacing with 1 Aquascience 15000k, 1 Aquascience 22000k, 1 ATI blue plus, and 1 Giesemann 6000k bulb. I like this color combo and it gives my zoas a decent growth rate. As for the frag rack, I built a 2 tier rack the top tier puts corals about 4-5 inches from the light and the bottom puts them between 7-8 inches.

amazing event as always, it's always good to see everyone, and all of the demos were great as well, Jeff's [Naga] demo was very informative and it was great watching him actually put together a tank

I have picked up a few frags from there that have all melted except one. I have tried different lighting, flow and systems and they all seem to melt on me. Maybe the colonies have better luck, but I haven't had much luck with the frags. The SPS frags that I got from him all are doing extremely well, I guess I just don't have good luck with the zoa's.

I renewed back in April and still haven't received my new card *cough* *cough*

It flickered twice and I lost power for about 10 seconds but luckily it came back on immediately. A battery operated air pump comes in handy during those blackouts.
