  1. You are looking for a Canon Powershot D10 if you dont go under 33'. Welcome back!
  2. sure! let me know if you have any more specific questions.
  3. "In your tank thread could you post a short summary of your maintenance routine? I am just curious to see what means and methods you use. " -bowiereefer Sure Can! I do a 30 gallon water change once a month (near the first). Occasionally, I will do two back to back 30 gallon changes (see nothing but good results from this). I have a fish feeder programmed to dump a pinch 3x a day of garlic flake food from www.brineshrimpdirect.com and the occasional nori (1 or 2 times a week) I have a small hob fuge, a carbon reactor, protein skimmer and a few filter socks. I dose kalk constantly over the course of the day equal to the amount of evaporation I have. I use a grey seas reactor. I can leave town for two weeks and just have someone come check the skimmer and filter socks.
  4. Lol dont be jealous, anyone can do it... all I add to my tank is Kalk... doesn't get much easier!
  5. all frag pictures are July/August of 09 and then the updated ones are June of 10. So this is 10 months growth.
  6. Pink Lemonade Frag Copps Pink Milli Frag Wamas Meeting Frag Gadgets Acro Frag Setosa Frag Verweyii
  7. In my tank there is a night and day difference between the ORA german blue and the Gadgets. The ORA piece is much lighter in color, both the polyps and the coral itself.
  8. that or gadgets with poor polyp extension?
  9. If anyone is interested, i bought WAYYY too much from noridirect. I have the majority of it left. PM me if interested.
  10. All corals have a scientific name (acropora verweyii, monipora setosa, acan lordhownesis, scolymia, dendrophyllia, etc). Some of these are chosen to be named beyond that based upon unusal or collectible characteristics (cool colors or patterns). It makes the coral desireable and identifiable. These names can come from anyone along the line and can be applied to differnt corals that look similar (any scolymia with green and orange = bleeding apply scolymia)(any bright green sliming staghorn = green slimer). There are people in the club with corals named after them, because they are associated as the first person who named them (gadgets acro and leishman's tabling acropora). I buy corals with names and pay more money for them. Why? Resale purposes. However, I have bought many wild corals that have turned out just as nice as a "named" coral... and paid much less... It is what it is.
  11. They are awesome when open but need to be fed often and placed in specific areas of the tank for flow and lighting (or lack of lighting). http://www.aquasd.com/index.php?location=livestock this is where we got them in the group buy. he has a few for sale. We paid between $180 and $250 each and bought more than 5. The survival rate was not good. About 50%. Some were rough when they arrived from SD and died soon after, some died over the course of a few months. On the other hand, he said if we bought more he would do a bigger discount. I am not interested in corals you have to feed anymore. They are either a pain (you feed alot) or a disappointment (they die). Just my opinion, I saw one from the group buy the other day and it looked amazing.
  12. they look healthy otherwise, I would leave them alone and dont do anything to stress them further.
  13. IMHO, just run kalk, forget the calcium reactor.
  14. I heard it was from not using a skimmer............ haha just kidding rob!
  15. Cool man good to see her doing well. I can't believe she stood still for that. Put a cleaner wrasse or shrimp in there for her, she loves them.
  16. Buttercup. She came from Bemmer's tank breakdown and then was a victim of my breakdown. Thankfully Rob ended up with her, she is the best fish I ever had. She was raised in captivity from the size of a quarter. Good to hear she is happy, although she should go into a bigger tank!
