  1. I love my carpet, but I have had alot of small fish disappear. 4 chromis, 2 anthias, 2 firefish, a goby... a harlequin shrimp recently too!
  2. haha... I bought them from Ben then sold them to you when I broke down the 220. Then you shipped me a frag for my new tank!!! What a story... all for a few zoanthids. They are worth it.
  3. Anytime Troy. Updated FTS. I have almost every coral mounted now!
  4. I have used brute rubbermaid trash cans with no issues. I had NAGA make me an acrylic holding tank for RO water, it cost $65.00 and fit exactly how I wanted it.
  5. you should see the large carpets eat! they will grab ahold of your arm if you aren't careful.
  6. that is acropora verweyi (or however you spell it)if I remember correctly
  7. whoa! sucks you are breaking down... are these colonies or mostly frags? good prices!
  8. I thought the taste is fine after RO but not after DI. I think this is what I need. http://www.airwaterice.com/product/ADDSTORAGE/Add-On-Storage-32-Gallon-With-Gooseneck-Faucet.html
  9. i am going to use the RO for drinking water.... I will tap into the line before the DI resin
  10. I am going to put a RO drinking system in and have it run off my RODI. I have a booster pump already. What brand kits do you guys have? I am looking at air water ice and spectrapure. I have a spectrapure RODI System. Do I need a permeate pump?
  11. Do you guys remember the Pepsi commercial when the gold fish played dead and got flushed... are you sure no one is training the fish when you're away? Seriously, that sucks! I bet it was old age...
  12. ben, those AOI's blow almost every other coral in my tank away. Thanks man!
  13. I bought a 120 oceanic tech tank with starphire, a giesemann spectra light, 2 Vortech MP40s, deltec skimmer, calcium reactor and media reactor, teco chiller, sump, stand and rocks for $3000.00 This set up would have cost $7000 new. Everything was 'like new' condition, only a few months old. So... internet searching and a little luck go a long way in this hobby.
  14. LoL no not as nice as the other stuff...
  15. The speakers at WAMAS meetings are always good. However, Paul was awesome today. I learned so much and he is hilarious. Thank you to all the officers and Paul and Paul's Wife!
  16. i am bringing a NICE Leishman's Tabling Acro, NICE Aquaman Paly Frag, NICE Purple Death Frag, 2 Zoanthid Colonies, NICE Birds of Paradise Frag and a NICE Blue Polyp Cap frag... all for sale/trade at the meeting. come see me with trades/cash
  17. I use filter socks on every input to the sump... so from my tank, from my skimmer, from my refugium... this prevents stuff from getting into the sump. Not only does it prevent build up in the sump (smell) but it also prevent pumps from getting clogged from stray hermits, algae, calcium deposits. I would drain and clean the sump and then find a way to incorporate some filter socks. I have a filter sock hanger (90% sure, need to check) and some extra socks I can bring to the meeting if you want.
  18. OMG this thread is funny. I can't even come up with a good one. Definately have snuck corals past the SO... glad I am not the only one! hahahaha Thanks for the "changing the price idea". She can't say anything about a $20.00 scolymia!
  19. I dont think they are the same coral? ones in se michigan and one is in washington state?
  20. http://www.oceaninabox.com/servlet/the-631...ow-Ultra/Detail wow
  21. i have a selection of different sponges, none more than the others, but there is some black sponge on a coral that is disturbing it.
  22. I promised myself I was done with angel fish a long time ago... no more... ever! I love them but they are coral eaters. I have sponge everywhere... dunno why...
