I had a good time as well, as did my wallet. :( I did lose a plate coral I got from them in 24 hours. My first loss ever in this setup, however I think one of my fish just liked the taste of it. :(

I just cleaned my skimmer like 20 minutes ago, and boy did reading that just turn my stomach. Ewwwww

That is going to greatly depend on how much area you need to do, as well as the location of that area. A basement is going to need a bigger machine due to the fact basements typically hold moisture in the summer time anyway. If it is in a small bedroom you will only need a tiny machine, as in something you get get at Home Depot or Lowes. In my setup I use a Drizair by Drieaz commercial model that has a steel casing that my old company took out of commission due to updated models. While this is kind of overkill, I am also using it to draw moisture out of my basement from the house being new. Drieaz is one of the leading companies in the industry, and I have used them more than 25 years.

Who's got an address? I am in Fairfax all next week.
-
My guess is they actually own those pictures, and just watermarked them to protect them from being hosted at other sites. I may try and give them a call either this weekend or next week, and see what they could do for our group. While Amay had a hard time with his group buy, I had great success with my last one. With the recent stories I have heard about BZA, I'd be willing to at least take a chance and see what they can do.

You want to use something like this It will cut and sand the edge at the same time. -
I wouldn't rule out any SPS in my future, but right now that's where I am as well. I'm with you, and also in the market for a new lighting system, and looking for the same advice. Right now I am using two 24" 65 watt compact fluorescents on my 100 gallon, so pretty much anything is going to be an improvement. I'm however looking for more the Tek Light Fixtures type of thing. I'm looking at this, and looking for any and all advice. http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluore...Sunlight_Supply Tagging along and also interested in the group buy!! Mark

Don't quote me, but I "think" he said 1/4" at the meeting. -
I'd also like to be added to the list of waiting. I really like my new additions, and would love to add another color. I think the next group buy of these I do, I am going to try and work a deal for Yuma's!

I'm hoping mine attach as well, but I only placed mine on some very textured rocks trying to accomplish a waterfall effect. I can home today to a couple of them moved, and they are out of the direct flow. So long as they keep looking good I'll just let them grow where they lay.

Glad to hear for the most part they are doing great. I got stuck at that darn mall [who's idea was that anyway ] for about another 4 hours shopping with the wife [ ], and the four extras that were left seem to be doing fine. I wouldn't recommend trying to pull off a group buy on livestock this large to everybody. I didn't really feel any stress until I got home, saw the box, and the bottom of it was a little damp. That part was a bit scary, but Chad had done a great job on the shipping, and it must have been sitting on something wet, or perhaps got wet from rain or something. In any event, glad I got to experience what it's like to do one of these, and I "think' I'll do it again sometime with something else. Some time down the road I would love to see some pictures of how the rics are doing. I'm interested to see who is the ultimate ric keeper! Good luck everyone, and it was great to meet all of you! Well for those of you that don't have access, we had a group buy on some of these [just under 90 pf them] and we all met this morning to distribute them. I'm curious to see how everyones are doing. Are they all swelling up and gaining color by the minute?

Who's got the skinny on the Blastomussa Merletti?
CHUBAKAH replied to CHUBAKAH's topic in General Discussion
Thank you much for the advice! I take you up on that as soon as I can, but my coral is very small at the moment. Hopefully mine does well, and I can do that! We'll see how fast it grows. -
Heard anything? I have a truck, and also wouldn't mind a free tank.

Since I was doing the group buy for the Florida Ricordea's I thought I'd add something else to the list. Well I hadn't seen this thing before so I figured what the heck. Well now that I have it, I figured I may need to know a little something about it. If it turns out looking like this one, it could easily jump to the top of my list of favorites. The one I have is these exact same colors except mine has about 8 heads. Anyone with experience on these? Thanks in advance!

Is there an echo in here?

I vote to leave it be.

J/k Looking good bro. Looks like you used silicone? Haven't I read that combination does not last? Anyone?

I am a insurance restoration general contractor who works for 50% of home owners that have natural disasters, and 50% of owners who do dumb s%&* and burn their house down. Thanks for playing though. Seems I may have misunderstood what was being done here. So many people call outlets, "plugs" I assumed that was the case. If you are wiring in new outlets that is one thing, but if you are just making up extension cords thats another.

If you are hard wiring ANYTHING in your home, it needs to be a solid core wire. 14-2 up to 15AMPS, and 12-2 for up to 30AMPS. Rule of thumb is up to twelve plugs per circuit up to 15AMPS, however simply calculate how many AMPS your pulling before you add 12 receptacle's. DO NOT under any circumstance use stranded wire to wire in anything, unless you want to call me to rebuild your home. I am currently rebuilding 3 homes from illegal/improper wiring.
