  1. Bob, Can you post a picture of the section you are talking about? It may be easier to give suggestions that way.
  2. Hello Gio, It's Luciano from the Scales social. I finally found your thread and you have a very nice tank. It looks so peaceful. Good luck and keep learning. Luciano
  3. I got to meet all kinds of people. Good times and thanks to Scales!
  4. I use them in my tank right now. I've got zoas and sps on them with no problems. To remove the glue I peel them off the mesh, then pop them into some hot water. I then pull them out and use a razor blade to scrape the glue off. I got this last set at Lowes because Home Depot only has the larger 2inchx2inch pieces. The product number underneath is 235540 and the name is 2x12 Chiaro Noce Checkerboard Listello. Please disregard the snail decorated in algae.

  6. I've used both methods and had success with both. LiveAquaria has a good acclimation guide. http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/general...9&subref=AI
  7. Nice pickup Chris. When is the new acan/micro tank gonna be built?
  8. Jim, Sounds like it could be pods cleaning up something that was dying. Try this website for an ID and let us know if you see it or something close to it. www.melevsreef.com/id Hope that helps, if it is pods then you have nothing to worry about.
  9. Howard you are not alone. Thanks for your patience Valeria!!!

  11. I stopped in there today and unless you are looking for used tanks then don't bother. They are a FW wholesale place and most of the glass tanks are very old looking. I actually walked out without anything because I didn't want to risk any unknown chemicals or treatments that may have used. They did have a huge acrylic setup that was nice, but I think it was being sold when I got there. I'm sure the new owner will put it to good use.
  12. Nice! If you happen to get a male/female pair could you save them for me? I'll be in early on Saturday.
  13. Thanks I totally forgot about that! I was too late :( If that porcelain crab is still there I might give that guy a chance.
  14. I plan on coming in this weekend to pick up my salt and I was wondering if you have any pom-pom crabs in stock? Thanks,
  15. Normally people stick with one type of bed with sand being the better choice. Does that help?
  16. Not as amazing as Bob's but hey, we gotta start somewhere. I'll post more pics of the new zoas tonight.
  17. I don't really say much about local vendors, but I feel like I should comment on this establishment. I've gone out there twice now, once to pick up my plugs and the other for a social. From my experience, I've never gone to a LFS where I've wanted to stay longer and talk to the employees, like at BRK. Those guys are really genuine in their interest in customers. There are places 10 or 20 minutes away from me that are ok, but I will without a doubt take the time and gas money to go out to BRK for any livestock purchase. Who else QTs their livestock for less than almost triple the price? I get tired of going to a LFS and seeing dead fish. So you are saying, yeah I've heard it before.... and that is exactly what I thought, but I was surprised. BRK learns as much by their customers as their customers learn from them. And for that I thank you. OK, I step off the soap box......
  18. Nice work, what did you end up using for your rod? I have really wanted to do this but I couldn't figure out where to get the rods (before the posted the online links). Was it easy to glue it together? Thanks
