i have some green stuff that looks like algae growing in my denitrator. i have 0 nitrates in there and .03 phosphate last i checked. what do you guys think
for me i will also be using them for access. my current setup has me crawling under my tank way more often than i would like. it would be worse if i had a sump or something of the nature under there.
the tds in dc is about 300ppm. nitrates are about 5ppm which is under the legal limit for drinking. we use chloramine or at least we did last time i checked. not acceptable for reefing
usually it has to do with the adult size of the fish and its level of activity and aptness to aggression. alot of these general rules can be broken if you know what u r getting in to. what fish are you looking at?
the lower your ph is the less likely cal will precipitate. my cal has been 600+ at times with no precipitation because i have low ph. as you ph goes up it will precipitate out so watch for that
sorry i was unclear. it is a 100 gal rubbermaid sump. there is a piece for ro top off. so you stick the ro tubing in and it has a ball valve on it. the glue wore off
it was big enough to stop the leak at the time. i need be able to plug the whole long term. the size is similar to a q tip stem. small but big enough to be annoying
would something like aquamend be a more permanent solution? i drained the sump to stop the leak now but i would like to use the upper part of my sump what can i do to fix it long term?
