my humidity levels are very high with passive cooling. i may replace my broken chiller. if you can run fans without excessive moisture its great. i have 400 watt bulbs over mine and its at 81 but the floor is always wet from humidity.

same thing happened to me when it was time to replace. i just cut it down and tweaked it till it worked and it does a great job. there is a thread about mesh wheel mods in general but calling dan will save you headaches and guesswork.

so i was running 3 150 watt phoenix 14k's over a 180 gal. i recently upgraded to 2 400 watt reeflux 20k's with 2 6ft vho's. my question is starting from monday with dimmable ballasts how long should i run them on low before ramping them up to full power?

mine was eating it while i acclimated him in the bucket after purchase. great fish great personality and keeps the agression from my trigger down. had to show him who was bosss but not aggressive unless necessary. well thats great. i can cut down on nori costs although i will likely feed both to be sure

i got a conductivity meter for this purpose but i dont know how to set it up or it isnt working. i followed the calibration instructions and set it to 45 micro siemens but when i place it in my tank water i get a 1when set to 2k and a 1 . when set to 20k. whats up?

i had both shrimp with these anthias with no problem. that was my experience. although they were full grown so if they are small i would worry. yes they will fight to see who becomes the male of the harem. hopefully not to the death. they will bully any fish that eats pods. about 25 a piece usually.

o well i have been trying to feed mine but he isnt eating anymore. i am worried about him. he used to eat way more than he does now. i got a feeding stick for him but he isnt taking it. i am soaking it in garlic and if i put it right in his face he will snap at it but not to eat. he snaps to attack.

how often should i try to feed my eel. he hasnt eaten in two weeks but i may have overfed when i first got him. i know they dont need to be fed as frequently as fish but what is a good schedule

i highly recommend a ph meter but i agree proper maintenance is essential as with most things. but for salinity i by way of dr randy holmes farley recommends a conductivity meter as refractometers arent as accurate as folks think

well i dont think all asterinas eat coralline algae. however they are worth controlling because some kinds eat coral as well. recently i was forced to go with manual removal because i have an eel but if you dont have shrimp eating animals and you dont have a problem with feeding them other starfish when they are done then they will likely work and fast. but manual removal helps alot
