  10. well the return pipes are running in the door way where the boiler is. so when the repair guys come and i am not home it is an issue with access.
  11. i still have my 180 gal up and if you are facing it i have a 125 gal "fuge to its right. my boiler/waterheater sit between the two tanks. before i had a dart pump water over and then gravity feed back. now that the wife has decided that that will not work anymore i cant gravity feed. would the alternative be to put another dart or similar pump to bring the water back over from the fuge back to the sump now that gravity is no longer an option? does anyone need clarification on what i tried to convey here?
  12. thank you for the warm welcome back. i see that machine is coming and i definitely want to go. many familiar faces which is great and new ones to. i suspect i will settle back in like detritus on the sand floor. its good to be back.
  13. im not new to the hobby but perhaps i missed some updates while away.
  14. i have a black sand bottom but no pic. looks bad right now anyway. certain things look better and others are washed out more so just be mindful.
  15. i thought about using it a few years ago so i am interested in this as well
  16. wrasses are jumpers and rhomboids are smaller IMO more likely jumpers so if you dont take him out of the sump you will likely find it on the carpet and the jump more in the presence of aggression. is the fish being harassed?
  17. they are extremely active and will zip across my 180 in the blink of an eye but 75 is a sufficient tank size. they are jumpers. i say again they are jumpers
  18. not good with copper so all of your points could be true. i put alot of tape on there. there is tape on the threads as well. once i screwed it on u couldnt see the tape under it. it is leaking very badly. its a steady stream of water coming out of the fitting.fairly sure i got matching threads but would not bet my life. had a friend help who knows more about this kinda stuff then i do.
  19. you can see plubler tape hanging. too much?
  20. it leaks at the copper fitting. i used plumbers tape but didnt try pipe dope. may head back to drawing board. cant make water right now without huge mess. good thing its a concrete floor
  21. i have a compression fitting at the end of a modified cold water line for my rodi. i have not been able to get that fitting to stop leaking when the water is on despite numerous attempts to correct it. would someone be willing to make the trip inland to DC and assist with this issue?
