smallreef September 7, 2013 Author Share September 7, 2013 Got the base moved in thankfully with the help of my wonderful husband! So...now my husband agrees that we're going to move the futon for the office upstairs down to my office so when I have homework to do, I can actually work on it down there....as I never use the desk down here, lol so it's getting donated.... YHSublime September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 You should seriously just plumb through the wall and put your sump in the bathtub! Or better yet, turn your bathtub INTO the sump! Stand is looking really nice, can't wait to see this grow!
smallreef September 8, 2013 Author Share September 8, 2013 lol im still debating running the rodi line into my ato resevoir through the wall i like that suggestion the best! also, were going to put in a dry box, probably the right side of the stand to put all of the power strips and pluggs.. my husband really likes the idea of a board with everything mounted...so it will give him a project, lol. smallreef September 11, 2013 Author Share September 11, 2013 (edited) So... I was making a joke to Steveoutlaw when I picked up the 40g breeder from his house about how we as hobbyists don't normally measure things, pointing at his new sump and wondering how it got under his stand... Then I get the tank home and my husband says, that'll slide right through the side of the stand right? Of course I said YES.... And then tonight I measured,lol.....soooooooo No... But hopefully I can turn it on its side, through the front door opening and then turn it onto On its bottom, lol Hopefully.... But right now everything is soaking I vinegar for a good cleaning..I'm going to try and clean the sump and get it put in the stand before my husband comes home to ask me why I didn't measure, lol Edited September 11, 2013 by smallreef

Enkay September 11, 2013 Share September 11, 2013 When I cut the baffles for my 40 breeder sump, one of them was a mm longer than it needed to be .. and I had measured ... so the first baffle on my sump is a bit angled ... doesnt look very pretty but hey, does the job. smallreef September 11, 2013 Author Share September 11, 2013 I got this 40b from steve with baffles already in it...just got to clean it...doing that tomorrow morning before work..picked up some magic erasers and a hose so I can spray it out in the front yard (possibly all over my neighbors driveway to make him insane?) AlanM September 12, 2013 Share September 12, 2013 It's a sump. It will get dirty in no time. Magic eraser is babying it. Teach it who's boss by giving it the hose, a green pad for big chunks and call it done.

smallreef September 12, 2013 Author Share September 12, 2013 (edited) Lol I did do that! After I got it home, lol (Though I did not measure the inside of the trailblazer to begin with which made me make two trips to Annapolis in one day, lol) Edited September 12, 2013 by smallreef

monkiboy September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 ooohhhh, ahhh... what's the plan now? what kind of overflow you going with again - bean, traditional dursos?
smallreef September 18, 2013 Author Share September 18, 2013 I'm very limited as the tanks overflow is in the center back of the tank and only 2 holes are drilled.... So I am using the previous owners version of the durso....
