Wow that tank is filling in/up quickly!  Looking great

Thanks! I'm running out of space on the rock and sand bed, I want to start coating the back wall and overflows with zoas.

Frags look great Isaac!!

Thanks! I looked at the superman milli and knew I had to post some pictures up, just wondering where I am going to put it, it's digging the high light, high flow areas.

Thanks! This is actually my fancy camera results. I used Avast Portal that should see more use than it does, the camera is a Nikon D90. I found that low exposure but high contrast shooting really gets the true colors. Thanks for the compliment, but I'm still working on cleaning up a few parts, I don't think I'm qualified to hand out tips yet, theories, maybe. The coming months will hopefully bring great results!

I also picked up a 20 gallon long at Petco's $1 per gallon, the first step of the Mantis Display. At this rate it will be here by 2015.

very nice pics man, thats just my blue green acro.....people often overlook it but its a great coral....glad its coloring up so nicely for you.

i see the purple smoothskin frag is doing welll also

good to see the superman settling in multiple tanks. i love that coral and it usually means its very happy when you see the blue. and yes highlight high flow it used to sit about 3 inches under water directly under a 250w halide and was blasted by an mp40 when it was happiest in my 90g (pretty sure this is from the frag frank got from me a loong time ago)

Tank is really looking good, i like the openness alot keep the pics coming

Thanks so much! Everyone who visits (reefers and non reefers) all go straight to it!

I was trying to figure out where that came from, it has recently started growing a bit, I can tell it will be one of my favorites.

The blue just showed up about a week and a half ago, although the polyps have been out since the beginning. It's part of the reason I broke out the camera. Mine is also very close to the lights and powerheads. It's funny, I insisted that I wasn't going to get into SPS when I started, now my favorite part about the tank is getting them to color up and grow successfully.

Thanks again, when I finish adding my wrasse, I think I might be done stocking. I'm happy with the fish I have now, and I think there are just enough hiding spots for new additions. It's really nice to watch the fish make use of the open space. I'll have to re-situate all the SPS on the arched rock eventually, as it's placed very close together, and is getting ready to start growing into each other, but it should be nice when they start to branch off and start filling in some of that open space up top. As for the pics, I can't help but overshare!

How is the Elegance doing?

If you know me, you know I cant resist a trachyphyllia, so here it is, a new addition.

I rationalized it by getting rid of my Aussie E, which was having a hard time staying in place for me, mostly because it was getting so big. Now I miss it, I will probably get another one.

LOL One day when you are around Loudoun County you need to stop by and check our two out! The main reason we are looking for a bigger tank is our Elegances LOL

Yes it is Evan, awesome coral.

Sometimes I lay underneath my stand with a flashlight. I can normally see my pistol shrimp burrows, my melanarus sleeping, and a LOT of bristle worms .

That's a lot of bristleworms!

I bet everybody has them, they just don't know ! I never see them on top , unless it's at night, and again, I'm like an 11 year old with a flashlight, trying to see everything.

Very interesting....

I have a red lens on one of flashlights and sometimes come downstairs in the middle of the night and look in the tank with it....

Very interesting what goes on at night....

Rupert was in rare form this morning. Note the colored polished rocks, he's enjoying those, when he's not being a finger assasin.

He's so cool Isaac!

So where is his home located?

A chamber in my sump, he's soon going into a 20 gallon.

Flame Wrasse Trio! 3 females, all the way from PIA, I'm ultra pleased.

here is a video of them chowing down on some mysis and Scotts home made food. They are all eating, and slowly becoming more adventurous. I speculate that one will become male, but that is just based on mild dominance behavior that I'm seeing already on the other two. Again, just an observation on my part, not fact. It's only their second day in the QT tank (and in Virginia,) and they are much nicer than I thought. The wrasse addiction is in effect.

bwahahaha. the power of the wrasse. good work getting them in qt. keep us updated!

Very nice fish! They look better in person. Forgot to take a quick look at Rupert though..next time!
